  1. Evening, I have been wanting to start a rebuild on my L28. I don't know how many miles, condition the rings are, etc. The big question is if I can use any engine stand or do I have to find one specificly for the L engine? thanks for your support 83280zxNA, I think I do need to get my Z runnin' Brian:alien:
  2. Ron, what is PDK's website? Or can I just e-mail you? Brian:alien:
  3. Hell yeah, Carbon fiber is the shiznit! not bad for $600. About the price of the hood I'm looking at.:cheeky:
  4. I'm getting my preorder done also, these will look tight in the 240!
  5. Yeah, I think I'll stick with the N/A for now. That looks too complicated to me. Now I'll have nightmares of killer Z cars beating me with their beefy turbo/carb configureation...:disappoin Thanks anyway: Brian:alien:
  6. B&M says the stock number for the T-5 short shifter is "45050" Is this the right shifter, and does anyone have the same conversion as I do? Brian:alien:
  7. Thanks David, every little bit of info would be a great help! Brian:alien:

I tis a brand new Optima Red Cap. I think it would have enough juice to start the engine. It could also be that I have a lot of rotational play of the distributer, and I can pull the dang thing out of the engine. Before I rebuild, I'd like to find out if the engine will run. Thanks Brian:alien:
  9. I guess that answerd my question. I think I'll keep my L28 carbed and build it up for street. Thanks for clearing up issue. Brian:alien:
  10. No kidding? But how is that possable? I don't see anyway that it would work. Maybe I should stop reading "Import Tuner"!:stupid:
  11. I want to sum up an argument with one of my co-workers. Their is no way to put a turbo on a carberated L28! If this is true please correct me. I think it is impossable. Brian:alien:

Hell yeah baby, 11.7 in the 1/4! Thats what I like to see!
  13. I'd like to say they look like oldschool Watanabe rims. Can't really tell. Who puts the wheel weight in the outside of the rim anyway? I always thought they where on the inside? Brian:alien:

Yes, I would like to know how you made it. (Not using the same pattern as you though) I don't beleive in copy cating!! I just want a pissed off look for a pissed off car! Thanks: Brian:alien:
  15. Most of the Boyd wheels are 5 lug. Do they make 4 lug or will you have to convert from 4 to 5 lug?

A very tight looking ride!!! That is the look I want for my car! Ofcourse I would have gone with the JDM Fairlady sideview mirrors to top-off the look. Brian:alien:

So what you are saying is that all those cars have the same bolt pattern as the Z's? That's a lot of cars. I thought the Z had a "weird" bolt pattern and only a few rims would fit them. Cool stuff! Has anyone tried to do a 5-lug conversion? Brian:alien:
  19. Thanks for the info. A hunting I will go..... :tapemouth BrianLOL
  20. Thanks for the input brother, Big help. Thought I would be buying a new front. Brian

your site says that it is down temporarilly and to check back in an hour. would have been a cool video to see. Brian:alien:
  22. I got an old (I think) Kaminari kit from the guy I got the Z from. Front air damn has 3 each cracks and 1 split in it. Can this part be fixed? Thanks: Brian:alien:
  23. I would try do it myself. If you knew somewhere that a paintbooth was, I would do the prepwork and the paint myself. I would feel alot better knowing that I did a great job on my car and spared some cash by not paying someone else by the hour that is going to do a half-decent job. Just pay for the paint and time in the booth. Shouldn't take a lot out of your wallet. Brian:alien:
  24. I may have missed it, but did you menchon where to buy the JDM mirrors at? They might be on MSA, but thought I'd ask before I went hunting. Thanks Brian:alien:

The alternator was already on the L28. I do have a E12-80 ignition modual, and I'm pretty sure it is wired up right. I was referring to your quote So I guess I should just keep starting her until one day she starts running? Definetly see a rebuild coming in my near future. Thanks anyway: Brian:alien:
