Threaded or screws, to see which works better. I am also going to explorer a more full "bell" shape to see if I can not interfere with the velocity affect as much as I am in this design. But at a 4hp loss, maybe I just don't worry about it.

No singer just sells theirs. I talked to the MZR head tuner, he said they see about a 2% hp loss by running stack filters. So roughly 4hp, which is something I can live with.

Next project is designing velocity stack filters! I am attempting to copy singers beutiful design. I plan to build and flow test, and see how much restriction I see. This would be single layer or double layer of oiled cotton material like a k&n filter. I will also test different screen sizes/ designs. First will be a retaining ring that has 4 machine screws. Next will be a threaded retaining ring. Which I believe is how singer is doing it.

I am in the final steps of my R35 coil bracket design!

This will use my EFI throttles, so injectors at the throttles, the angle of the intake puts the injector spraying right down the middle of the runner! Bar on the bottom is for map signal, it uses 6mm banjos. Middle port will be for the ECU, end will be for the FPR. I will be making at least one.

I decided to make my own intake, this is modern version of my FET. I love the angle for the injector and also getting the throttles away from the heat of the header

I finally got my fixed cnc stacks in! They look amazing

I plan to make and sell a full kit on my webpage, I will post links on here when it's all finished.

I will probably sell like 20-25 kits. A guy in thailand makes a bunch of stalks for the r35 coils. He will be making these, same material as stock.

Finally nailed down a perfect length, bend with proper spring tension to the spark plug! Now off to Thailand to be made.

I have proper spring engagement!

I am trying to get better spring engagement on my R35 Coil stalks. Here is v5. I hope it works!

Since my throttles are taper bore. There isn't a velocity stack that looks classic and is the correct size, so I had these drawn up and cnc cut. Sadly I screwed up a measurement, so they have to get cut again. These are 65mm length stacks, which I think make them look better with the shorter throttle bodies. Also I got my taper bore pro EFI hardware 45mm throttle bodies! They are cnc cut and very pretty, the have the most shallow injector angle I could find, and I love the bearings, 8mm shafts and butterfly angle. Sadly they were damaged in shipping, so back to waiting.

I am working on the stalks now, 3D printing and test fitting how the stock springs will work. The goal is cheaper and rigid like the stalk coils, I plan to make and sell a few of the brackets.

Here are the coils installed. I don't love the boots, so I am looking into have stock style made.

Also working on a new coil bracket, this one has a built in angle for the boots not to be bent so much. It was cut on a 5axis cnc.

I got the idea for the angle here. This is a Fet v2 or v3. The issue with those intakes is the middle carb/ throttle is higher. So you can't run a solid fuel rail. Also this version of the FET has 30mm runners at the head. So lots of porting is needed.

Well I ended up selling my SKs. I am going EFI hardware pro throttles and a vintage FET V1 intake. The FET has about a perfect injector angle and should spray fuel directly down the middle of the runners. The only real issue is they have huge ports at the head, so I will be welding them up and matching to my head.

Wow, how cool is that.

Dbw will be down the road. I first need to get the car up and running with the new intake. dbw requires a new ecu and more effort.
