  1. Rebuilding doesn't take that long. It really depends on how deep you go and how crusty they are. Are circuits need to be cleaned and checked, new seals. Most of the rebuilders vapor hone, new zinc hardware, new gaskets, new butterflies and shafts. I would guess its about 1 hour to dissemble all 3. Then around 1 hour to put them back together very well. The other steps would depend on a bunch of factors.
  2. I have bought and sold a lot of mikunis, the cleaner and nicer they are the better, a few of the guys rebuilding them charge an arm and a leg to do it. Ebay, Bring a trailer, facebook are all good spots to sell them.
  3. Well it works. But the firewall flexes too much (1-2mm) IMG_2655.mov , next I will try to mount to the pedal box which doesn’t flex at all. I also want to keep the arm movement on the same plane. Currently actuator is up and down and bell crank is left to right.
  4. Something fun I have been working on! I really want drive by wire on my 240z. But figuring out a location for the actuator has been tough to say the least. I don’t want it hanging over the intake. This is a 100% bolt in adapter featuring a BMW 6 cylinder actuator and a 350z pedal. This will attach to stock linkage and drive my ITBs. Hopefully it works! The pivot arcs a far bit, so that might not work and the pedal mount might flex too much? Time will tell. This would allow me modern cold starts, any sort of progressive pedal movement I could want. Full idle control, traction control, valet mode, cruise control and way easier tuning. We 3D scanned the pedal area and the actuator to mock it all up in CAD! All of this is 5axis cut out of 6061.
  5. I will have a bolt in drive by linkage actuator, that goes behind the firewall. I have it 95% done. I will also offer a double pull cam for it as well, so two throttle cables. It will use the 350z pedal.
  6. I am designing a bolt in Drive by linkage setup, if you had aftermarket ecu, then maybe!
  7. My 3.1 is going back together! 48035565-3f87-41e9-8969-6a890e052731.mp4
  8. Brakes are something that you should spend the most money on. It's your only real defense in an accident outside of driving ability and reaction time.
  9. I have that size and rock the zcar kit. Works amazing
  10. Failed designs. The compression was neat, but the two blocks I tested have a sharp edge that tears the rubber/ silicone.
  11. I am going to make -8 and -10 AN adapters, the design has gone from compression, o-rings and finally going to tapered seat, either chilled and pressed in or pressed in.
  12. All ITB test fitment is done. Cable mount is perfect, everything is smooth and actuates as good as I hoped. Now time to bolt it down, cut the cable to length and finish some wiring. I lined up the MZR haltech tuner to help me with my tune. It should be interesting to see how good he can get it, especially with my balance bar design and throttle angle. Will the snow melt so I can drive it soon? Probably not.
  13. I think everyone knows Derek's head is superior.
  14. That was mostly a joke\
  15. I got my cnc intake and some parts back from media tumbling, it looks almost cast. I am super happy with the finish. Only issue it now shows finger prints.
  16. I finished the injector wiring. I cheated and used an RB harness and just redid a few of the lengths to be perfect.
  17. I was actually knee deep in making this myself. I am glad I pulled back a few months ago. My goal was to mass produce them, go cheaper. Nissan didn't say they aren't going to sell them, a writer for a magazine did. I was told from a nismo engineer that it's not off the table. I guess they are blown away with the response.
  18. Finally got the linkage sorted on my ITB. This is without an over head bar return spring (I will add tonight). The system is very smooth and returns strongly. Pretty stoked.
  19. Machine marks, they are pretty heavy.
  20. ITB update! I got the dog bones/ rods shortened, design and had the cable mount made plus the fuel rail mounts. It’s almost ready to bolt in! I might try some surface finishing on the cnc intake. I don’t love the look of it.
  21. I told him to remove it, he said its marketing 101.
  22. I would do the one six personally, that tiny godzilla is ugly as f.
  23. I use modern injectors, so high impendence. Batch injection should be avoided.
