Another interesting auction
It is interesting: White cars cost more new and are more valuable used in Japan just on the colour. I think oemz's car is worth at least $30k for its age, rare colour combination and the condition. I sorry a fool wrecked your auction.

Things To Do In Boca Raton, FL Area?
Since 2008, I've spent ~ 4 months of my time there. I even tuned some carbs and pulled an engine and tank with some nice Z friends there.

"Thee" SU Float Level Tool
I was thinking the same. The reference will need to be away from the bowl as you say. A bit complex but a gauge (basically a flat piece on metal that stops at the 20mm down point which is affixed to the non-eccentric part/non moving part will do the trick.

Things To Do In Boca Raton, FL Area?
I did a lot of work there. Lots of nice cars to look at. 1. This is a trendy area. Worth a look in the evening: Mizner Park 2. Here is a nice thai restaurant: http://www.bluefinsushiboca.com/ 3. I like the Italian food here...sort of NJ Diner feel and next to the thai place: salsitalianristorante.com 4. This place reminds me of Russia: Grand Lux Cafe (Yeah it is in aMall but worth a boo) Town Center at Boca Raton, 6000 Glades Rd #1016, Boca Raton, FL 33431, USA 5. Touristy but reminds me of being a kid on vacation: Pancake House 1840 S Federal Hwy, Delray Beach, FL 33483, USA 6. Cheap good wine: Trader Joes 1851 S Federal Hwy #500, Delray Beach, FL 33483, USA 7. OK Indian Place: Punjab Fine: Boca Inn, 1801 N Federal Hwy, Boca Raton, FL 33432, USA 8. Spanish River BLVD will take you to the beach. 9. Watch out on the I95.. 5 to 7 lanes wide it seems with every one in every lane. Kids on cells, old folks, out of town tourists, newly landed foreigners with old country driving styles, arrogant rich people, maniacs, trucks, fast cars, junk heaps... quite an experience ranging from 40mph to 90mph at any time.

valve lash
Set it cold then re-check when it is hot. Note the ones that are off and re-adjust when cold unless you do not mind hot oil.

"Thee" SU Float Level Tool
If I was at Hitachi or SU "back in the day" I would have made the bowls so the whole darn thing is adjustable up and down by 1cm.... forget bending the float tabs over and over again. Mikuni and SK have externally adjustable floats but it is a somewhat complex set of parts and the bowl is internal. Just raising and lowering an external bowl seems to be the easy route for the early SU design.

DIY Gland Nut Socket - With PICS!
The photo above gives me an idea, I think we have to start measuring tools by how many "beers long" they are or their weight in "beers".... sort of like horses and hands.

Showroom Z 1970 month???
Looks the same! Great detective work. Dept. of Revenue seems a bit odd for a car sticker? Does it mean the import tax was paid on the car by Nissan or does it mean the sales tax was paid by a buyer, or does it provide a window for paying the tax? 8.5 month expiry date? What expires?
