I'd pay up to $6000 for something like that local.... maybe more if I saw it in person!
  5. Sourced from Arizona Z Car... Thanks for the input everyone!
  6. Good point. The sleeve is bevelled too so it makes a good channel for welding.
  7. Got busy with the suspension modification... First up, I drilled two opposite holes near the top of the strut to drain the oil. The gland nuts are rusted and seized and I don't plan on saving these anyways. Drained the oil to make it safe to cut with the angle grinder/cutoff tool. Then I removed all the hub and rotor components off the front spindle. For the rears, I pushed the spindles out with the press before removing the backing plates. That gave me something to push against. Removed the backing plates and then marked out the cutoff point at 2" from the bottom. Cut off the strut and test fit the collar. I may remove a little more material for a more flush fit. Did the same to the fronts. A little more creative cutting is needed to clear the spindle hub. Not impossible but the casing needs to be cut up a bit more to get the grinder in there. And that's it for now....
  8. Sometimes a little carnage is fun..
  9. Nothing like this ever comes up for sale in Canada... I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
  10. 5 spd mod...
  11. Yup. Most of the expensive stuff for sure. I'm hoping to resurrect a lot of the original parts other than these critical components.
  12. Next up, the Techno Toy Tuning order.
  13. Inner and outer tie rods will be replaced along with full GTX lower control and tension rods.
  14. The prop valve compensates for the changeover from drum to disc. Stock valve may not cut it.
  15. He can stack dimes with a stick. I think it will look and work better with stick. He is more comfortable that way too so I think that's the way to go.
  16. Will do Chris. I finished my last two brake flares (hopefully) today too. Had to use imperial fittings to the prop valve. My son in law is looking forward to the coilover work too. He will do the stick welding...
  17. Next up is to disassemble this mess. Start cutting the strut tubes to weld in the coilovers.
  18. These look pretty meaty!
  19. Bolted the Wilwood prop valve to the Nabco warning light distribution block. Routed the rear brake lines back to the stock prop valve. And yes, that is a bit of paint that peeled where a residual drop of brake fluid from the master cylinder fell onto the front rail. I will have to touch that up later... [emoji35]
  20. Playing around... waiting for some bolts and nuts to attach things properly. Bolted up the 15/16" master cylinder.
  21. Looks great as usual!
  22. I have a thermostatic valve and a 19 row cooler on my 370Z and it has a hard time getting up to temp in the shoulder seasons. I need to build a block off plate for the cooler. One that is easily removed or opened. Summertime is awesome cruising through the Okanagan valley with the oil temps just perfect in in 33 degree (Celsius) weather.
