  1. Parts for these engines are available through a Nissan dealear here in Australia, if they haven't got it in stock they get it from Japan usually in about 10 days, don't know about the US though.
  2. Where are these available from? I need a set for a 240Z. Nick.
  3. Hi Lauchlan, The Bluebird box was behind a 4 cyl so strength wise won't be good enough if you have plans on increasing HP at a later date & R30 Skyline came with what they call a stumpy box so length is a problem, but a Z & K box is ideal. Ratios are different, you should have a 3.54:1 diff so the K box makes sense. If you go for the Z box make sure you get the one with 3.29 1st gear & not 2.9 otherwise the car will be sluggish off the line. ( 240K has a 3.6 1st gear) Don't forget that you need the flywheel, clutch kit, pilot busch, slave cyl, clutch master cyl, & the 2 pedals, oh & the shifter (hopefully it comes with the G/box). Good luck. Nick.
  4. Hey Alfa, No chance of it being AWD SR20 as the GTi-R & SSS Bluebird AWD cars came with the east-west (front wheel drive) version engines which makes it impossible to fit between the towers. Now RB26 AWD on the other hand has been done in a Z but the one in the pic in my opinion isn't AWD. The left head light is missing & through it I can see the strut tube, if it were AWD a completely different set up is required so as to get the drive shafts to the front hubs. I hope I'm right about this one! If there's other pics of this car I'd like to see them. Nick.
  5. g260, check the Z newzletter, I have both the RPM & SAAS pairs for sale. Nick.
  6. Guys, the twin cam x-flow head from the 432 model will not bolt onto a L series, only a S motor, hence S20. There was a x-flow head made for the nissan works cars that went onto a L motor from memory, but were not twin cam & the spark plug wasn't on top like the hemi, it was on the exhaust side. These are also quite rare & expensive. I haven't seen a pic of one on this site, I'll see if I can find one & post it. If any one thinks I may be wrong at all, please correct me as I'm only going by memory. Nick.
  7. Sorry, 1st one didn't come up for some reason.
  8. It also had the 4 cylinder KA24 engine in it which inspired me to run the SR20DET in my 240Z. There was also another variation which was much nicer, I'll dig it up & post it later.
  9. Now I'm jealous, I ain't hung like a yak. Is this why most of you guy's don't like overly modified Z's?
  10. If I'm not mistaken, they look like the 15 x 6 R30 Skyline wheels. Nick.
  11. Oxy & acetylene cutting torch will cut most of the sump off, then get your 100mm anngle grinder & grind off the excess. That should do it.
  12. If you lok closely at the photo, he's also done something similar to the rear of the car, could be from a Kaminari kit. Anyone have a pic of the back end? Nick.
  13. Hmm, I wonder what mine will weigh in at? Nick.
  14. OK guys, here's my 2c worth, P76, good for a boat anchor only, doesn't like reving, 3.5L Rover, only slihgtly better than the above, 4.4 President, too old, Nissan VH41 or 45 would be the go if you wanted to keep it in the family, but (if my info is correct) didn't come with a manual geabox behind it, but could make one fit, so why not go for the LS1 alloy chev or even better, the new 4.6 or 5.4 all alloy OHC Ford. Both these take a 5 or 6 speed behind them. If you need more grunt just add a hair dryer on each side to any of the above & that should get you mobile.
  15. Now that is one awesome zed. I know there will be a few to criticise, but remember one thing: "criticism comes easier than craftsmanship" Nick.
