I was lucky enough to get an original mirror for mine that's been mia since I bought the car. Anybody have any experience rolling that chrome/stainless? lip that goes over the beveled edge of the mirror to keep it in place? Thanks for any replies.

It got down to 45 degrees in my garage last night! 18 degrees outside of the garage. I spent my money on the "pink stuff".
  6. Do these Zs jump around for anybody else or are my eyes bad?

I remember a friend's Mom had them on her ZX. I think they were for street parking so know one would knock your door off.

Yes! $20K would be my starting number if it runs out okay. Good looking car.

Tabco still makes them too. Fitment is iffy from what I've read, no personal experience with zcardepot or tabco panels. Zcardepot is 100% to buy from, that I do know.

You need to come out into the light! You have some neat stuff going on it sounds like. Cliff
  13. I had sticky nozzles that wouldn't come up plus bad out adjustment on the valves. The PO had used 1/4" fuel line (if I remember right) for the hose from the float chamber to the nozzles. That does not work very well. Bought the thin wall hose from ztherapy, adjusted the valves and boom, new car.
  14. You got a deal there Guy! If it doesn't fit send it on down to Alabama.
  15. A little late...

It won't let you say uhsembly.
  17. Take a carpenter's square, the big L shaped one, and lay the big edge on the bottom. If it's bad you'll see the gap.
  18. It's 2.5 from the top. Turn them clockwise until they snug then go counterclockwise down two and a half.
  19. I have a Felpro on my 280, no issues since 2012. You can buy just the HG from local chain stores. Nonstocking but next day usually. I bought mine from Advance.
  20. Lowes has a pool pump gauge that will work but you'll have to add the brass barbs on to it to put it in a fuel line. Not so sure they will be willing to get pool supplies in January though.
  21. Over ride bar would be for blew eyed scope? One blew east the other blew west.
  22. Make sure the vane isn't stuck behind the black box on the afm. Try tapping it first if it hasn't been off before. Are the distributor cap contacts worn down? New cap and button would be money well spent. Have you tried turning the distributor to advance timing when it's running? Guesses...
  23. @sparegolfer I used this as a guide for my first poly change over on a 280, http://atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/suspension.htm Did again to my 240, same thing. My only problem was the lock nut on the T/C rods. They're one use. Mine fell off luckily in my driveway so I put new nylon lock nuts on both sides. Also the OE rubber and poly mix works great on those rods like Jeff says. I bought the rubber from Napa way back when but zcardepot.com has all the stuff cheaper, https://www.google.com/search?rls=ig&source=hp&ei=UrBIXKfGOMfVjwTo7byACA&q=napa+auto+280z+compression+rod+bushing&btnK=Google+Search&oq=napa+auto+280z+compression+rod+bushing&gs_l=psy-ab.3..33i299l3.1182.22774..23940...0.0..0.115.3110.33j5......0....1..gws-wiz.....0..0j0i131j0i22i30j33i160.9j-DxNl4ht0
  24. Captain O and I would need the training guy to get the bar off of our chest.
  25. That's real close to my early '77, built in 9/'76. The sloped up rear deck is what I'm going by. The later ones had a built up flat deck. Good luck, hopefully you'll sell it.
