  1. A 2 amp all night charge works for mine, I don't drive it enough to keep up the charge. Your alternator belt could be loose also. You could try spraying the turn signal stalk with electrical cleaner, CRC makes a good product.
  2. Your next initiation is replacing my struts. My turn signals give me problems when my battery charge is low. After a good charge they work fine. Probably not causing your problem but it's worth a try.
  3. Looks like good timing to me. That friction disc and pressure plate have seen better days. Are you going to resurface the flywheel?
  4. I'm sorry but I haven't had a chance to look yet, I'm curious too. Here's what I'm going to follow,
  5. Breaking up under a load can be a bunch of stuff. How long since you did a tune up, new rotor button and a distributer cap? It could be jumping spark under the cap.
  6. I think I used a round sander on a dremmel for the grinding.
  7. Yeah, in my garage. It was cold outside. If it's not moving enough to lock it in gear, it should pop out as soon as the clutch releases its hold.
  8. I remember how I got mine right, now. Running car in 5th, let out the clutch and pops immediately. Ground a little put it all back cranked the car and let the clutch out. It moved. Then popped out. Ground some more. Cranked the car and let the clutch out. 5 feet then it popped out. Repeat, then it moved to the front of the garage. The next day I drove it in 5th for the first time. 75mph at 2,200 rpms.
  9. Mine to. ZX transmission with a Z curved shifter. The ZX shifter stood straight up in my car.
  10. Beautiful!
  11. "There's your sign"
  12. Could I do a Z themed Bed & Breakfast up there? You're doing what's left to do to mine and I can't seem to find the energy right now, damn it. Kidding about the b&b, I have a dog.
  13. That hose is not supposed to be over your shift rod.
  14. Looks like cuts on that hose over the shifter. Cut that off I'd think.
  15. What does the shift rod show? There's your biggest clue IMHO. You have a C clip to pop off, push the pin through to remove the shifter.
  16. I think it's to keep cigarette butts, earrings and roaches out of the cup the shift rod goes in. Oh yeah, exhaust smell too.
  17. That's a good idea, thanks. Preventive maintenance at it's best. 8^)
  18. Here's that thread of mine http://www.classiczcars.com/topic/55457-5-speed-tranny-any-ideas/ The boots can hinder the shifter for sure. 8^)
  19. I thought something looked odd with the webbing on there. It's not an N-42 but a N-47 with the EGR welded up. Nice! Looking back maybe it is an N-42? Anyways it looks good.
  20. You may be able to get it to stay in gear by grinding the shifter a little, that's what fixed mine. When you take it out to replace the bushings look for nicks at the front and backside down at the bottom above the ball. A few people have had issue with that and a little grinding fixed there's too.
  21. Did you get that from RossiZ? I'm thinking you did but don't remember too good. It looks really cool beside that black valve cover.
  22. Google ACC auto carpets. Get the carpet you like part number then google that. They have an ebay store that's much cheaper than buying off their website. Most carpet kits for our classics is made by ACC. They are 30 minutes from my house. I could break in one night and get you and me new carpet but I'd have to charge for the risk.
  23. Those filters are similar to the k&ns I ran on my gsxr bike. I'm 99% positive you can clean and re-oil them. Do those ebay ones come with that Cannon intake or is that for the pictures. I'm thinking it's included at $1,689 price but didn't read the description.
  24. Yeah that would be best done next winter, enjoy it this summer. You may blow her up hearing that header screaming. Cheap walmart spray foam oven cleaner works good as does lacquer thinner cleaning the motor up in car. Simple Green with Scotch-Brite pads too. I bought a gallon of commercial de-greaser from a local chemical supply that worked great undiluted, make sure and wear some kind of rubber gloves though, if that stuff gets under your cuticles and finger nails it's like what I imagine bamboo felt like in the Vietnam warm.
