Imagine that!
The car was doing what it was programmed to do. The driver had it in "autopilot" mode apparently so he does bear some liability. Rafaela Vasquez, 44, the operator of the Volvo, who was in the driver’s seat, reportedly had the car in self-driving mode when he struck a woman who was walking outside the crosswalk Monday

That movie freaked me out when I was a kid!

There was a guy in there I just read. 44 years old, 4 years in prison for armed robbery. That's who I want picking me up. They say the lady walked out into the street so no charges filed yet but I bet Uber gets hammered on this.

That's a good point. There's a few things that just won't work without some human interaction, response.- Purchased my First S30 Today!

Thank You! Captain Obvious has gotten me trained with his mantra, "pictures or it didn't happen".- Imagine that!

Head has to be off the car with those. The flat end goes under the valve then the "jaws" go on the springs, squeeze it together to compress the springs. I have one and it works great but only on my workbench. Found a picture from @240260280- Imagine that!
Probably called another Uber to complete the fare. Could you imagine being in that car and seeing that unfold? Here's what scares me the most from a stranger's point of view. "Loophole would protect self-driving car companies from lawsuits"- Tennessee Z stash on CL

You'd fit right in with the 405 crowd if you'd get some tube socks and a Beatnik hairstyle and start screaming. Farmtruck and Doc are the only ones that aren't full of s h i t. Does anybody else think Farmtruck and AZN might be gay? Not that there's anything wrong with that.- Imagine that!

This helps me on the valves, make a card showing the 6 intakes and 6 exhaust. Usually two will be up at the same time and I just X them off as I go. A mistake I made on the Z was pointing the lobes straight up when the motor is actually tilted to the passenger's side. I put straight lines on the center of the cam towers and go by those. Put the card under the passenger's side wiper blade.- Yet another EFI help thread :/
Is that 10 degrees at idle with the distributor's vacuum advance hose plugged? I don't know what it is but something is clicking like crazy?- Yet another EFI help thread :/
- Do I need to remove rust on brake rotors?
The front rotors are really felt through the rack and pinion steering on these cars. if one is warped just slightly the steering wheel will wobble like crazy. If your gonna keep the car I'd buy new ones if you have the money. They were about $25 when I bought a 280 in 2011 and they made a huge difference to me.- Yet another EFI help thread :/
Sounds like the valves are too loose or the timing is low, maybe both? vacuum looks okay though.- Speedometer-Anyone Recognize This?

Looks low to me but it's hard to tell looking at pictures of that one but if you're at 3.5 turns down there should be visible fuel on top of the nozzle.- Yet another EFI help thread :/
This happened to my '77 so I always mention it but so far it hasn't been a problem for anybody else but... Where the EGR tube connects, under the intake manifold closest to the firewall on the driver's side, there's a clip that came out and that same tube comes off the hot exhaust. After some years mine rotted the aluminum out and caused a huge vacuum leak that wasn't visible until I did the "yogurt cup test" for vacuum leaks and then used a mirror to look under there. I found it and had to replace my intake. Here's some pictures that kind of show what I'm talking about. The mirror picture was to show someone the bolts for the heat shield but you get the idea. Hopefully you won't have the same problem but it's worth a look.- 1972 Float Adjustment ...
Me thinks you got that one, congratulations. I would put that one to bed, in the winner's box, knocked out, homerun, touchdown!- Purchased my First S30 Today!
