They tend to move some when they cross the block. Sometimes surprisingly so

Limited slip in California
I am not positive this car will have it because it's automatic but it is apparently a turbo according to the VIN https://www.copart.com/lot/23979129

Welding hat not dimming
I priced it. They are about $150. I can almost buy a new hat for that! I watched a you tube video where he got into the ADF and the 3v batteries are evidently soldered in. He reworked it but it still didn't fix his helmet. I would try to replace the batteries but don't want to waste my time. I am wondering if it's in the switch. I wonder if I could come up with a way to bypass the switch. I suspect it is a rheostat

Welding hat not dimming
My Viking 1840 series auto dimming helmet decided to not work today. Any ideas on the best way to try to diagnose it? @Captain Obvious @grannyknot

Where to go with this rusthole
I did some searching on this a while back. I have a sway bar thread. I settled on the ST sway bars. I think they are the cleanest mounting system with good reviews.

What is the recommended sealer for the case halves? I thought about aviation gasket maker. the brown sticky stuff. Also should the plugs get a sealer? What kind?

Front strut cartridge removal
That is correct. Gland nut and corrosion. I would heat the whole tube then add some penetrating oil. You will be hard pressed to damage the strut with MAP gas.

I agree, it was well executed. Just a little surprising for a hybrid car

Three 240Zs Sell at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale for Big Money
Those are serious prices and not early cars or even "Series 1" cars. I am a little surprised the LS car brought so much. In the past the strictly original has seemed to bring the premium.

Front strut cartridge removal
I have at times had to hook a slide hammer to the strut end and chain the strut to a tree to get them to move. They can be stubborn

73 for auction in LA - Future Auction
Got the rear quarter pretty good too. I use to have an IAA account. They are a dealer only auction site and I didn't feel like paying the fee every year. That's why I asked. I wonder if the SCA site is dealer only or a public site. If I were going to pay their fee I would just try to re-up my old IAA account. IAA cars can sit for months while they get the title work sorted. Things use to sit in my watch list forever. If you could buy it cheap enough transportation would probably add no more than $1,000 to the car. None of that damage scares me. I need another project like I need a "hole in the head"

Do you have a way to bid on that IAA auction?

I don't really know. When Walter's car went through Copart a year or so ago it went to like $4k but it was a 240 and not nearly as badly hit. I would be surprised if it brought 10% of the advertised ACV because it's a 280z. Usually cars tend to bring about 30% of a reasonable fair market value. If you said the car was worth 8k that would be what, like $2,400. The car is a total loss and not getting repaired like many of these cars do. So that makes it a parts car; so I think $2400 is way too high. I will watch it. I would think being in Canada should make it cheaper too, less competition. WAG would be $1,000 or so. It's not "pure sale" so the seller might have unreasonable expectations. If you end up being the high bidder there is nothing wrong with not negotiating on their counter offers and sticking with your initial bid. I have done this many times on the same car. Eventually they figure out it's not going to bring what they want. Keep in mind the additional fees for the total price!

The value is based on the current market value with out the damage. The car probably wasn't quite there but not a total miss either. It's a shame it isn't a little earlier for your door cards. I figured the "Emporium" needed to restock after your shopping sprees!
