		headlight relays

so, thinking about the wiring it looks like I might need to reverse the polarity of the headlight to make this work. Is there anything wrong with this approach a better solution or is this the way to go?

		Fixing the front

can you post pics under the hood, or better yet with the hood off. At the least you need a new bumper shock. but you may have a bent front frame member, you will need to do some dis assembly. most likely you will need to remove the hood and both fenders before any work can begin.

Yes I know. I have heard nothing but great reviews for his upgrades. I just would like to do this one myself for the fun of it. But I need to throw business his way, I am thinking of the side marker upgrade, especially because the front turn signals on a 280 are near useless due to there location.

I thought about the amazon ones because it seemed to be a good deal with the socket and fuse holder bundled.

I am thinking of doing a headlight relay upgrade for my 280z. though I have though about David Irwin's upgrade his is not compatible with a 280z, so I am thinking of doing a hardwired upgrade. So no I am trying to find the best relay to use. Would this work? http://www.amazon.com/Absolute-RLS125-12-VCD-Automotive-Relay/dp/B0002KR9GG it has 5 pins not four though.

car won't start, buzzing over fuse box?

sounds like you're ignition relay. I can't say for sure as I have a 280z, but it may be located near the fuse box. http://www.xenons130.com/reference.html I looked at it I think it is near the glove box.

Also I do recall there are some Z owners in you're area that may help you sort out any Z issues once you get it.

well if you look close you can see that it's a bad repaint with rust issues. Looks like the wiring has been messed with, the dash cover has been screwed to the dash and I am sure many other issues. but I'll bet it could be talked down and the rust may be delt with. Anyhow for 3000 bucks I am sure a decent z that needs some work can be had.

Keep you're eyes peeled, for 3k you can find a pretty decent z near you. Try craigs list. Good luck and keep an eye out for the usual rust. After searching for less then one minute: http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/cto/2813385577.html There is some rust (the usual)

		Fusable link upgrade??

That looks like it would work but I would prefer a fused distribution block. One fat wire in and four out. I looked up Coopers web site, They have some options but not really what I am after. Still looking.

		Fusable link upgrade??

I know this has been gone over before. When I fist got my Z the P.O. had removed the whole relay bracket and fusible links and scabbed in some maxi fuse connectors. Since, I have found the relay bracket and repaired some of the wiring and installed a maxi fuse distribution block, but it's a Micky mouse unit from shucks. It not designed to handle the amps. I am looking for a new one but I cannot seem to find an appropriate one anywhere. it would be nice to find one that has a weather tight cover. Any ideas?

My 77 does the same thing. It's strange that it happens when it sits for about 5 or 10 min. but cold it runs great.
