I'm afraid that I'm not feeling it either. I've always thought that flag would look good on the underside of the hood if you plan on showing the car.
  2. The track day events were held at the Autobahn Country Club in Joliet, IL.
  3. It was held in Chicago this year and hosted by the Windy City Z Club. There are four midwest Z clubs that take turns hosting the show. Next year it will rotate to Columbus Ohio with ZROC hosting and then the Indy Z Car Club will be hosting in 2013.
  4. Had a great turnout last weekend for the Midwest Z Heritage show, everything from stock 240Z's to modded 370Z's and even a few from Infiniti. Here are a few shots of the 1st Gens that showed up.
  5. Finally got around to resizing and uploading a few of the cars that showed up last weekend. I'm having some problems using the IMG code to post the photos. Please stand By.
  6. Had a great time at the show last weekend. A variety of cars showed up from original 240Z's to modded 370Z's and even a few of our Inifniti brethren.

    Welcome to the site!
  8. Very nice job!
  9. When I took my Z in for paint the bodyshop owner told me that they would need it for three months. I took this with a grain of salt and figured that I would be without the car for six months. Five months and three weeks later the car was done. I would have to agree though that unless you are getting this work done for free or very close to it, I would pull the car and look elsewhere.
  10. Very nice find! I've always loved the two-tone blue and silver paint scheme.

Welcome to the site! I'll try to answer your questions as well as I can. The first thing you need is the Factory Service Manual. You can download it for free at Xenon's site. Here is the link http://www.xenons130.com/reference.html. As far as the electrical system goes you will find it somewhat complicated but nothing to be afraid of. The first thing you should do is to check and clean every electrical connection you can. Pay particular attention to any sensors and the ECU in the passenger compartment. The ECU is located on the drivers side footwell. Also check for any loose or cracked vacuum lines. Vacuum leaks can cause a host of problems on the S130. In regards to which item you should fix first, they are all kind of important. Speedometer is probably most important as far as daily driving goes followed by the parking brake and the power steering. Depending on what the problem is, the power steering is also potentially going to be the hardest and most expensive problem to fix.

MSA also offers a Z Car Club discount that lowers the price a bit. More importantly to me, whenever my club has hosted a regional car show, Greg at Motorsport has always stepped up with financial support and raffle items. Because of his continued support of the Z community I always try to do business with Motorsport if I'm not using OEM parts.

    Good looking cars!
  14. Spent forty-five minutes persuading this guy that he didn't want to live in the engine compartment of my 77. Guess that will teach me to leave the garage door open while I am mowing the yard.

  16. Great news, I'm looking forward to a couple of those parts already!
  17. I carry comp and collision through State Farm on my 81 280ZXT with a mileage cap of 5K per year and a $500 deductible. The car is insured for a 10K replacement value should it be totaled. Premium is $130 a year and as long as I stay within the mileage cap there are no restrictions on when and where I drive the car.
  18. Great work! A color version would be awesome!

I used new Nissan fenders on my last project and my bodyshop guy said they were far better quality and easier to work with than the aftermarket ones he had seen. (For some reason "quality" shows up twice in the final post but not in editing mode?)

First ride of the season is a great thing! Although it wasn't her first time out this year, it hit an unusually warm 83 degrees here today and I had to go driving for a couple of hours.

    Welcome to the club!
  24. I can't swear that mine still work, I've never had it out when it was cold enough to use.
  25. Electric side view mirror defroster.
