  1. OK I have an answer here. 1974 (260Z) 1975-1976 early 280z are the same door panels and they could be fitted on 240z. However, door armrest and passenger pull handle location will be problems. You either stay with 280Z type door handle/armest and drille holes on door sheet metal. Or install 240Z armrest and pull handle, but there are few holes showing. Now 1976 late to 1978 type is totally different. It is biger, clips holes do not match at all. Farthermore, door lock-rod-hole is about 1 inchi off. Classic Datsun Sells incredible door skin kit, which look just like factory ones with chome molding. You know how picky I am. They are very good. If you spent $150 -250 for a set of used door panel, I would go and get them re-covered.

I have got the invitation every year, but have not been able to go.......But this year, I will be there for the show! Getting a trophy is one thing, but more than anything else, I really like to pull up the status of Z cars among all the other high-end cars at the show.

Great event. I really like to thank Greg, president of MSA and all of MSA staff for the event today. It is always a lot of fun meeting everyone as well. Can't wait to see the bigger show next year! Once again, thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. We have these products under production right now. They should be ready by fall this year! It is a major investment, but it will help us restore Z cars around the world!
  5. I totally agree with you on that. Yes. The driver's seat. And faded carpet. Engine room... My 72 car with 26K miles look 200 times better than that. As you mentioned, if the seller stated it is over 100K, then the seems to be in really good condition. It might be worth 7-8K?
  6. Well, this Black Pearl is on Ebay right now. 6691 Miles the owner stated. As far as interior goes, it looks like it has over 100K miles........ HLS30459871 is the VIN. Does anyone recognize this car?
  7. That is a deal. You cannot even restore a car for that price!~

Wow! I did not know the early type had "brackets" to hold it in place rather than "studs" you see on later type. I have a later type one on my car like yours, but it is so heavy (part filled with rasin material) to a point my brand new rear hatch shock comes down when it is cold day. Great photos!
  9. Here is pictures of "after" I did this for a friend of mine with tight budget. Suprisingly, we only used spray cans: Silver, gold, black. Good luck!
  10. OK, I can assist you with this topic. 1. Remove any overspay from parts. 2. Clean the parts (Sand Blast is prefered) and then replate or paint. 3. Replace nuts and bolts with correct washers. This will refresh your engine bay! These are "before" pictures.
  11. Most of the items have been reproduced by several Japanese companies. I do not know if it is worth making another ones here......Most reproduction parrs that are made in Japan are much better quality in general. Just a thought.......

Katz lives in Nara Prefecture, but he is from Sendai-City, Miyagi-Prefecture, where is damage is the worst. I wonder if his family is OK. His family should be living more towards inland, not on the coast I believe. I will let you know as soo as I hear from him.
  13. That is a good point. We do ship lots of vintage European car parts to Japan, and so we have seen many of those exact reproduction parts for old Ferrari, Rolls Royce, Mercedes SL Gullwing, and so on. They should be exact match. Should we re-make it out of a sheet metal? Or a complete exhaust system... That would be a group buy items! Alway appreciate keen coment!
  14. We are going to reproduce few interior parts and rest of braided or wrapped hoses in engine bay this year also. We will keep you posted!
  15. Vertical ones are stock for JDM Z432 and Z432R model I believe. There are few stainless exhaust system available at price range of $1500-2500 USD for a complete set.
  16. Again, we just had to make it! we spent time and money to reproduce this beautful piece of art for stock Datsun 240z cars. As it is shown in the picture here, it looks even better than original. This one is better seamless pipe design, compare with original hand pressed, rolled, and welded design. This pipe is handcrafted to look identical to original muffler tip for Datsun 240Z cars. Chrome is much better quality with todays technology. Very small quantity is available for limited production And I do not think we will be making a large quantity of them. (too expensive!) $175-free shipping for US main island/$28 for international shipping If anyone is interested.

Thank you! I just removed a bolt from my 72 with original 28K miles car and comprare them. Only difference would be Yellow cad plating. Mine has a "dot" on the top. Your from Black Dragon does not. We should cad plate ours:)

We had these made in Japan. I have no idea what they have at Black Dragon. Can you post picture of that bolt?

I just had these correct brake/clutch line holder bolts made in Japan. These often become messed up when you try to remove them.

How about this one here. It says "Datsun" on the tag. Size L If anyone wants it, I would let it go....
  22. Those of you who are able to read Japanese should appreciate these pictures Katz provided here. This is amasing info!!!!!!!
  23. There are some braided hoses that kind match the original ones at speed shops out there. As I introduced them few years back, they look like these. But real-original-material-formed-braided hoses are coming in Spring. I will keep you posted.
  24. I have a really clean clutch line for Auto->Manual trans swap. If you are interested, I can send you photos. Please PM me.
