  1. Be sure you put the best filter you can between the tank and the fuel pump - you'll be glad you did. I also put a small inline filter from the pressure regulator to the carbs, just in case a little debris got through the first one. You don't want to have anything that blocks or holds open your needle valves.
  2. If you really want some support get a set of Recaro's..........a world of difference!
  3. Same here - but mine are triple Mikuni's. Fuel pressure is a must - be sure to do your research for your install My info is detailed in my garage. Best of luck and Happy Holidays!
  4. I used Les's spray paint to take to the paint shop when my car's tail panel's were painted to get a good color match - worked out great - best of luck with your winter projects. Getting ready to pull my rear bumper as well for chrome work. I gotta drop my gas tank to get to the pass side bolts. Happy Holidays!
  5. Our lawmakers make their own laws so they all get rich - to hell with the typical American.............. and now, most of us can't spell or us proper English because we are all too lazy - we're having a hell of a time! And the problem is .......it isn't getting any better!
  6. I just replaced my lights this past spring - mine is a 72 and did not see anything that looked like that in my dash
  7. Justin - If you gonna drop her that low be sure to do your homework on wheel offset and tire sizes! Guy - Love lookin' at your Z - an absolute beauty!
  8. Justin, Respect will get you everywhere on this site - we do welcome you, but we really are just a bunch of guys that love their Datsuns. Have you tired to use the search option? Most topics have been covered thoroughly before so it helps if you do a little research - see what has been covered in any topic you are looking for and then reach out to the members to get advise after you have done a little digging. Not only will you learn about different aspects of the topic you are looking for, but you will learn tons on other topics that you will stumble on...........hell, that's half the fun of it. Gets some pic's up so we can see your project!
  9. I know a 240 has to have the tach circuit connected to start - not sure on a 260.
  10. I would have to say to get some pictures up so we can see what you are discussing.
  11. I don't drive my car in the cold weather - (once it snows and the state salts the road I'm done for the season). If I went into my garage to start my car it would take a few paddles of the accelerator, a few cranks of the starter, and she would fire right up. I was afraid I would miss the manual choke (like on the SU's) but I don't. You do have to work the accelerator a little more than you would have with the SU's once the car does fire up but not having a manual choke is not a big deal. Hope that helps some............
  12. Michael - Shoot me a PM and we can get together. I'm only 1 hour from Johnson City - I don't get me car out after the first salt hits the roads -but I'll be happy to let you see it and fire it up - Mikuni's sound great!
  13. I thought I would add a note to this thread, after 2 years of having my R/T mount and bushings - I have not had any noise of any kind at all - this is the fix for my clunk!
  14. Blue- The R/T mount rocks! Not a doubt - yours might be as good, but the R/T is tried and true by hundreds..................IMO. With over 5900 views it's getting somebody's attention! http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?35995-Ron-Tyler-Differential-Mount&highlight=ron+tyler
  15. I know Dave Rebello does grinds
  16. Welcome to the site and get ready for a great ride!
  17. Start with a pressure regulator......IMO
  18. I'm agreeing with Guy - I think nobody has generated 200 RWHP without changing the entire dynamics of the L24 engine.
  19. My dyno was to the rear wheels -154.11 hp 172.21 torque - I'm sure with very little effort I could increase those numbers, but I'm happy where I am - for street/show what are you going to do with all that HP anyway.........
  20. Have you dyno'd your Z with measurements to the wheels - just wondering?
  21. I agree with Guy (above) - even with a L28 it's hard to get to 200HP at the wheels. You can always but in a loud cam with a lot of noise but I really don't want an engine with a rough idle...............unless you use it at the track what is all that HP going to do for anybody other than braggin' rights anyway? If you really want 200+ HP call Dave Rebello (Rebello Racing) and get ready to hand him your American Express - he can build it if you want it!
  22. Travel'n Man replied to tdh's topic in Introductions
Welcome to the site - get some photos up when you get a chance!
  23. No problems on either end - my angle is great with no interference at all.
  24. Edward - Not sure how you came up with your shipping cost, but when I made my purchase of the heat shield along with the fuel rail shipping was $35.00.
