  1. Only words on my lower rad hose is "EBP 01 80MH25 MADE IN U.S.A." . Don't know what it all means but it's preformed to shape and clears the altenator with ease and tons of space.
  2. Welcome to the show homes. And no they're never done .
  3. I remember when it first came out people were complaining on the news networks for this very same reason. As evidenced by post #6. Sad to see after all this time Google didn't have the gall to kill their own idea.
  4. YEAH post some pics, hopefully i'll make the 2nd meet. Maybe this is the best time to ask, if anyone know of a good Carbon Fiber builder out there let me know. Bringing a rare JDM part with me to replicate when i move finally in a month. Speaking of witch i need to check craigslist classifieds for roommates wanted
  5. No not yet, thats funny, you call it Hi-town and we call it Sac-town here for Sacramento! Still got about another month to go. I did just finally get my trucker exame memorized and no longer need the book and now ready for the test! Can't wait to get down there and meet all you guys, you seem to be pretty deep in numbers and appearantly have some good Z shops too. Why, whats poppin off this weekdend? Thats right the Houston meet, well say hi to all the chiks for me. Cause we all know chiks luv Z's!
  6. Thats the one then, ask for the Chrome Electric Fan too he you can swing. You have fab a new bracket or ghetto rig it like i did which was easy as the fan don't have a bracket to fit the Champion rad. Only for the 'raceing' rads which MSA are out of last i checked. I had my mechanic instal mine so ask if it comes with the rubber shims to isolate it, if not then check the parts stores. Hit me up at 530 701 1244 if you like more details on it . ~Z~
  7. Dude i think this is a bad idea, it's a good place for a outsider to car jack a Z. Or worst yet rob your house! Feel free to post if you think i'm wrong. What city you live in is one thing but your actual home? ~Z~
  8. Mine is a direct bolt on replacement for stock. It's also 3 row core and Far as i know thats all they make or sell it as. You can give MSA a call for the dimensions, i'll try and post it if i can measure soon.
  9. YOU STUPID DUDE AND I MEAN THAT IN GOOD WAY ! You boiled your radiator hose on the stove thats freakin awesome, thats the funniest thing i heard all day i wonder how your 3 Carb Lasagna or Baked Rally Clocks 'ill turn out. Glad to know it fits though.
  10. Finally got a response from someone in the company. I emailed the info and they're gonna put it through the 'proper' channels and see what happens. I'll keep you updated.
  11. Hi Bro did you get the Champion Alum rad from MSA? If so i can check the hose on mine and let you know what you need as long as the inlet to the your block is same as a 77 z.
  12. Welcome aboard partner, you can't go wrong with a Z
  13. Cam Guy I have that Champion radiator and its freaking awesome! Got the chrome electric fan both from MSA. Set the thermostat on the fan to 160 degres and the temp gauge stays pegged at dead center or cooler, all the way to the left on freeways and never gets hot from all day city driving . Mines is bolted on with no isolation and only 1274 miles on it, how long does it take for this electrolysis to happen and why does it occure?
  14. Yes sir, enjoy the ride once again. Pics?
  15. Looks sweet Ron. The original design may be Nissan but the most common ones are aftermarket from AMCO. They made all kinds of knobs include the Safari Rallye knob which was what i was remembering wrong. That knob has the front face of tiger on it and not a Lyon. You can find pics most commonly in the Amco ads sold on ebay. Ever seen a NOS Gold key chain of this with same red logo? I have one will post some pics when can.
  16. Glad you got juice ! For the gas pedal try using the throttle linkage with your hand in the engine bay with your hands and see if it's sticking or if the pedal is . If so STP the entire thing, all connections and retainers, return springs on the throttl and the pedal parts under the dash. Your oil stop may just be bad unless the oil pressure sender is bad or the dash gauge. Replaced my oil pump and the guage still says 0 to 10 if lucky. Don't know how you would test for which but it might be good to replace the old pump anyway IMO and see wat happens.
  17. Haha relax guys just making a joke, I haven't read that thread in years . Just assuming it was the "general" concensous. Twenty bucks Kid no way bro, the red knobs are hard to find but in that thread theres a link to a place that sales the yellow ones . I only listed it incase someone really needs it before i find my dream 70 Z. Besides this is all knew info for me too. I might need to take you to the next swap meet with me though, i'm sure we'll score some deals
  18. Also, if I recall correctly, saw the red versions decal on one of the Works Rally Cars. Not sure though but I think it was on the Zpoint.com site in one of the movies and the race was in Britain somewhere. It was placed on the front fenders like the Ferrari logos are. In the parts store link in my sig theres a pic of the decal in the Decal and Emblems section if someone wants to post the pic here. I would but i'm using a cell phone (insert sad face here).
  19. OH GREAT, IT WAS YOU GUYS THAT TOLD ME IT WAS PRINCE IN THE FIRST PLACE ! Searce a thread called 'Prince Rallye Shift Knob' or keywords Datsun Lion and Griffin and that thread should turn up. Well if thats the case i still love it though. I Even have a chrome metal one too .
  20. Freakin Sweet ! If he makes those himself perhaps he can do Watanabes or P/S mags. If your looking for tires try a hobby store. No seriously
  21. Also keep an eye on it for about 15 or 20 minutes first before driving it, giving it a a few got revs too while you wait. Watch for white smoke and leave the covers off. When the link starts to go it has the tendency to catch fire and melt the link covers. If starts to smoke shut it off. So leave the hood open and let it run for awhile just to be sure it's safe. Wouldn't hurt to keep some extra fuse links in the glove box either .
  22. Totaly normal. Both my 78 Z and `83 BMW 320i do it. Some newer cars it simply runs rough or struggles. All your doing is creating a disturbence in the engine vacum, simple as that.
  23. HAHA you sound like me with my Dsport subscription. Truely great mag that Horse. Try that trick Idaho says as its new to me so if your pump does work then your lines are clogged instead. What was the condition of old gas. A 78 Z i sold sat for about 5 years and the gas in it smelled like varnish, had clumps of VERY STICKY gooey stuff, cranked but would not start. un hooked the line before the fuel filter, cranked it again few times and still no gas. Tuned out to be clogged pump. Compressed air is one way to do it.
  24. Double post see below. . . .
  25. Arched my new battery with jumper cables once on the fender like you described and it shorted out. Would not charge up at the auto parts store. It also, like the dead battery did as well, had the effect of frying out the fuesible link to the voltage regulator. Another new battery and fues link and I was good to go.
