Country Music
More into bluegrass here, but I do listen to some country stuff. Steve Earle, Allison Krauss, Whiskeytown, Ryan Adams, Uncle Tupelo, Son Volt, etc.

Disassembly tips
You are going to want to buy a bunch of Zip-Loc baggies, and a Sharpie. Bag every fastener and small part, and label what it is and where it comes from. Saves a lot of aggravation when it comes time to reassemble, trust me.

Series I (VIN#15146) FS in Knoxville, TN
Not my car, just FYI. Saw it on eBay and inquired about it....anyway, the seller tells me that the first $1600 takes the car. The car is about an hour, hour and a half from my location, but the reality is that it looks like more of a project than I might be interested in at the moment. What do you guys think? eBay Z

Took some photos of the lime 72
I agree, the shots are very nice. I work in the publishing industry, and we create a lot of camera manuals and guides to digital photography here. In other words, I'm interested in both digital photography and in your subject matter. So....next time, I would recommend shooting the car in an environment without fluorescent lighting (or at least with a fluorescent filter on the lens of your camera). The images are awfully green, and my feeling is that it detracts from your subject just a bit. You could do some color correction to help with that, if you have the tools. Nice work, though. You've got a good eye! The 'industrial' background, in particular, is a nice choice as a setting for a classic sports car.

LSD article and how to tell if a Diff is a LSD !
I had a Subie LSD in my LZ22-powered '68 510. It was an easy swap but I agree with Steve, the 3.7 ratio was 'just okay'.

Rare 1975 280Z on ebay
Agreed. And why did he capitalize every letter in the text of his listing, and then delete every space after a comma or a period? The text is next to incomprehensible as a result. It's amazing how bad some people's eBay listings are.

MSA Twice pipes
Just be ready for the sound. I've got a twice pipes setup on my car, and it's pretty loud.

72 240z won't start
Is the choke operating properly? In other words, when you pull the handle, are the levers moving at the carb?

- 240z strap chrome hardware cover required
I've got that plastic cover, and it's in pretty good shape. If you want it, it's all yours. Just shoot me an email at brian.caskey at gmail dot com.- 240z strap chrome hardware cover required
I just replaced that passenger door pull strap on my car with a new one. I broke one of those plastic covers when I was removing the old strap, but I think the one that's left on there is pretty good. I'll take a look when I get home and let you know.- Cool Stuff in the glove box
My car had some of that warranty stuff in the glove box also, including the name and address of the first owner. I googled the address, and darned if the house wasn't on the market....the listing even had photos of the place in Gretna, Louisiana. Pretty neat to be able to see the driveway that my Z was parked in when they brought it home from the dealership.- Nissan Decompensating
Read it again? All things considered, I'd rather drink bleach.... But thanks for the offer.- 240z strap chrome hardware cover required
You just need one? I might have one lying around that I could send you....- Nissan Decompensating
I agree completely. This thread is whack anyway, though, so hopefully anyone who might otherwise be offended is taking the 'source' into consideration.- Nissan Decompensating
All because of that three gauge design.- How the heck do you wire this thing??
You can run it to a 12V IGN source, and it will run all the time. Probably not what you want to do. Running it to a switch in the cockpit is commonly done, but it's a fire hazard (those switches get red hot). Best practice is to wire it through a fused circuit to a thermostat and relay. Google the search terms 'how to wire electric fan' and I'll bet you find a ton of information on how to do this properly.- Nissan Decompensating
Uh.................what was the middle thing again?- Thinking of getting out, what's it worth
That's a nice looking project you have there. If it were me, all things considered, I think I'd finish it and then sell it. The problem of it not being a 'runner' is a real deal breaker. There are a lot of people, like me, who would otherwise be interested in taking the car on as a project, but it's next to impossible to ship a car that can't at least be driven onto a truck. Good luck with it, let us know how it goes. - Nissan Decompensating
