What a great segment. Nice job, Ron.
  2. Well, that's just great.
  3. Here's my daughter, Allison. She just turned four.
  4. Looks like a nice little car! When I bought my Z, I knew that it a) had been sitting for a little while, and had some problems in the passenger floorboard. What I did was buy a set of Charlie Osborne's floorpans, which I stuck over in the corner somewhere, and then I got to work on the mechanicals of the car. Once it was a safe and dependable driving car, I took it down to a welding shop and had the new passenger side pan and frame rail welded in. Charlie's floorpans are first-rate, and if you end up needing the whole pan rather than a patch, he comes highly recommended. My car is basically back together now, and will be going into the body shop real soon to have a nice fresh coat of 904 White applied to her. Welcome to the club and good luck with your project!
  5. Yes. I'd demand $100 and some nude photos.
  6. Here is a shot of the panels after they were dyed with the Wedgewood SEM.
  7. The blue SEM dye that I used is not perfect but pretty close (I experimented with several different dyes before settling on the Wedgewood). It's more of a baby blue than a true aqua...but my panels were really faded and/or greenish looking, so it's a tremendous improvement. The real trick is to paint your rivets, too, so that everything matches up colorwise. Once you do that, it's harder to tell that the panels are a shade lighter than they should be. It's close enough for guv'mint work, though...... My back panel was really cracked and I ended up not using it. I acquired a clean black one and painted it with the SEM....you wouldn't believe that the panel was ever black, if you looked at it now. That SEM is amazing stuff.

As much as I'd like to see the Rockies do well -- after all, a large percentage of their current roster played for Asheville's minor league team -- I think that the Sox just have more talent. Sox in five.
  9. How was the quality of the plastic pieces? I sort of got sticker shock when I looked around the web site, ended up using my plastic panels and shooting them with SEM (in Wedgewood). The color is close but not quite right.
  10. This is a pretty crummy picture (it was dark in the garage, raining outside, etc), but here you can see the seats that I recently had upholstered.

    No offense, but.....please reconsider!
  12. I have new OEM-style blue seat covers in my car. I'll shot some photos when I get home and attach them. I got the covers on eBay, from a seller in Arkansas. The quality was good and the price was right ($140) but he can be very slow about turnaround.

That's not very nice. You've earned a reputation around here, one that seems to be well-deserved. I don't think there's anything wrong with people responding to the reputation that you've created for yourself. You wouldn't be posting here if you didn't want some attention, or some advice. So here it is....you might want to put some thought into what you might have done wrong, rather than just blaming the road conditions. In a one-car accident, you can slice it any way you like, but there was only one person behind the wheel. Everybody has accidents. Some people learn from them, some don't. I would encourage some self-analysis, it might save your life the next time you think about hitting a sharp curve where there might (or might not) be some gravel on the road.

Too bad. Another Z bites the dust...

I didn't like the blue interior at first, either, but I've found that it grows on you......
  16. I don't see photos....did you attach them? Also, did you put air horns under your K&N's? You'll want to do that for maximum performance.
  17. In all seriousness, geezer's got the right idea. You have six months to play with if you go out and buy a car cover. Unfortunately much of that six months will be winter, but you should be able to get the car running during that time. At that point you'll either be able to keep the car (since it runs) or sell the car easily (since it runs). The key will be to get the car running and driveable.
  18. Get a car cover on the vehicle for now. If the neighbor has an open house, make sure you're shirtless and in the driveway, working on the car. A dozen or so beer cans in the yard would be a nice touch. If the neighbor comes over to complain, offer to sell him the car for $3000.

The wheels on that 432 get an A+ in my book......
  20. I'd paint it..... Actually that's going to happen before the end of the year. I just got back from the body shop, where I got an estimate on the paint and body work that the car needs.
  21. I drive mine occasionally during the winter. Just want to keep the old girl exercised....I wouldn't dare risk it in the snow, however.

Oh right. Any way you slice it, though, that was a nice fake.....good job, Fred.

I see some evidence that someone has been using a cloning tool in Photoshop (look at the grass near the front passenger side wheel)....the rest of the photo is a real nice job, though. Well done.

Yeah, I grew up in the hills of DeLand (a few hours north of you). I think we were ten feet above sea level there. Where you are, cars go on vacation all by themselves. Oh, there's a driver there, but they are not paying attention......

In this instance, they looked to be your average Wal-Mart shoppers.....
