  1. Charles you got me. All the time you all thought that Blue was the colour of my Z:
  2. Worked on the front suspension some more. Tried to assemble the Tension Rods. There must be a trick to it. I searched through some old threads but couldn't find anything. How do you compress the new rubber to get the nut started? Also which side of the bushing faces which way. there is a flat side and a rounded side. I have the flat sides in right now. Trying to find some knuckle bolts right now. I think I have some in my parts car stash. I also worked on the front fender today. Welded in the patch panel and use the shrinking disc to try to make it right. It's not perfect but it will work...
  3. Hi everyone! My name is Mike Clifford, and my father and I run Michael's Vintage Racing. We work on mostly British cars at our shop, but Z-cars have always caught my attention at the track and I've kept one eye open in case something appeared at the right time. Luckily, that time has come! This is all new ground for me, but I've already got a list of things I'm excited to do to the car I've been reading up the past few days on Zs to familiarize myself, and I want to absorb as much information as I can ASAP. I've been reading about: Basic information Weak spots with race cars Differences between 240/260/280 cars If there's anywhere else I should definitely go, I'm looking forward to it!
  4. EEEWWWWWW! Dried beef in a jar? That sounds as bad as pickled eggs! Lol. Glad it worked for ya'. Don't mind me, I'm working on my 4th Arrogant Bastard!
  5. That's not really a very good way to describe anything. From your previous posts, the drop to 10 psi is your main problem. That should never happen. Either you're losing power to the fuel pump, or the fuel pump is bad and not spinning fast enough, or you have an obstruction in the supply to the pump. Focus on the pump and its power and fuel supply,
  6. my wife has an auto trans (no trouble yet), mine are stick. not much can go wrong with a stick shift
  7. Hi HaZ, very interested to see how you like the Polk speakers. I also have the Retrosound head, Additionaly I have the Retrosound 6x9's, a Small JVC powered sub behind the passenger seat the small Retrosound Amp and Pyle front speakers in the same "kick panels" you have. The base and sound from the rear of the car is great, the front however seems really weak and I'm wondering how you like the Polk's you have? As you know, space is extremely limited with those panels. Also, I followed your build and have plagurized a number of your ideas! Thanks for doing such a great write up on your car. I have referred to it many many times. Jay
  8. Dan has a Canadian Spec 240z but he didn't mention his Canadian Spec Titan Truck:
