Hello.. just thought i would share a picture of my steering wheel i just restored using the sport z mag instuctions more or less.. was fairly easy.. took more than 3 hours though..

It's a little out of focus. Does that camera have a MACRO mode? Try that to get in closer than 3'.

it does have one, i'm going to take another picture..

Yes, it was the Fall 2001 issue. I'm not sure they will mail overseas though. I know they take subscriptions from the US and Canada but you might want to visit their site to see if you can get them sent to you.

I am in the middle of restoring my wheel using the same process. I have the paint stripped off the spokes and in primer. Did you use a semi-gloss of a high gloss clear coat on the rim?

i used high-gloss engine enamel for the paint, they call for semi-gloss..

But did you use hi-gloss on the wood part too?

Used semi gloss laquer on the faux wood.. 15 light coats...

I used a paint from my R/C Boat Models. It is not only Water Proof, it is also Fuel Proof. It is Pactra Formula One Clear Polyurethane. Shinier than Semi-Gloss, yet not as shiny as Gloss.
