Some humor... I bought my early mfg 12/70 car in 1990. I think I've opened up my tool covers a total of once just to make sure everything was there!

Hello again

Print came out pretty good petg combined with tpu bond seem solid

There is a bit of resistance when folding will have to fit to the tool box to see if ok

Have opened/closed hinge more times than it would normally so is holding up well

Just need to find some barrel screws and can test on car

Couldn't done this without you help

Thank you

Nick

working on reducing the resistance at the moment tool box distorts when trying to close need more flex

going to try printing something like a piano hinge and running a thin steel rod to hold the 2 sections together

Did you mold the thin crease into the center line of the hinge? I also found the initial bending required a lot of force but then it got easier. Of course it eventually broke too...

Sorry for the delay, I had to dig into a box in the garage. It looks like I purchased 1588A733.

If anyone would like to give it a try, I have 38 inches of this left. I needed less than a foot at $3.81 per foot, but the minimum purchase was four feet. I selected polyolefin but its available in four or five materials including carbon fiber.

I'm happy to provide my left over material for the cost of postage. If you'd include the $3.81 per foot that would be appreciated but not mandatory since its been sitting around for maybe 6 years now.

Jeff

FYI: I misunderstood the OP. From the photograph I thought the discussion was about the glove box but regardless, the plastic piano hinge I mentioned will likely work.
