Seeking part numbers for Series 1 metal fan and clutch

Featured Replies

Hello all. A number of years ago I owned a 1971Series 240-Z (built in November 1970), which has since been sold. Now I'm beginning the process of cleaning out the garage of parts acquired over the years. With that goal in mind, can anyone tell me what the Nissan part numbers are for the Series 1 metal fan and fan clutch removed from that car?

Thank you, Gary

Hi Gary,

My parts list shows the fan clutch (ie., assy-fluid coupling)

Is: 21082 - E3200

The fan (ie., fan spider [steel] )

Is: 21060 - E3201

Is the clutch assembly functional, and are you looking

to sell these?

Hello Dan,

and thank you for providing the part numbers, much appreciated! I have an old Z-Car CD-ROM of Microfiche scans, but I no longer have a computer with a CD drive to access the information. Yes, since I no longer own a 240-Z, it is my intention to sell the fan and fan clutch, as well as a number of other accumulated parts. Regarding functionality, the unit was working properly when removed, and stored as labeled in the picture. Is there a way to test for functionality with the parts removed from the car?

Gary, I am not aware of a test for functionality. It is a matter of

resistants created by the clutch when spinning the fan.

What are you thinking for a price, and I’ll see if I can find how

to test this early fan clutch.

Hello Dan. I am in the process of determining how best to sell the parts I have on hand. I am currently compiling part numbers and evaluating current pricing for the various parts I have. At some point I will need to choose whether to sell the parts individually, or as a lot. My goal is to accomplish this sooner rather than later.

If I decide to sell this fan and clutch setup as an individual item, since you are the first respondent, I will happily update you first. If I choose to offer it as part of a lot, would you like me to send you the parts list?

That’s a rare find this day and age.

Hello Yarb. Yes, true...many folks probably replaced them with a resin fan and tossed the old metal one in the recycling - or the garbage 😲.

You should have no trouble selling that fan

Hello Patcon. Fingers crossed, when the time comes, I hope you're right 🤞.

Gary, thanks for your reply, and would appreciate updates concerning the fan and fan clutch if you decide to go with individual sales. Best of luck with whatever you decide.

Dan
