My dash looked very much like yours.  I restored it using a plastic 'welding' kit, and I'm still happy with the outcome.  I think I posted some pics on here, but I can't find them right now.

My plan is to fill it up with fiberglass bondo and then flock the whole thing.

I have a kit designed specifically for dashboards. I ended up buying a new dash so have no need for it now.
