Pomorza Posted February 1, 2020 Share #1 Posted February 1, 2020 Hey mates This up coming weekend I'm going to be replacing the shocks on the Z. While I have the front struts out of the car I figured (..you know while I'm already here...) I might as well do the strut bearing - the bearing on the top of the strut. Does anyone happen to know off hand an off the shelf part number for these? How difficult are they to do? Thanks Cheers Jan
grannyknot Posted February 2, 2020 Share #2 Posted February 2, 2020 Very easy to do, they fall out as you remove the strut mount, I doubt you find much in the way of wear on them but they will need a cleaning with solvent and compressed air. After that just pack them again with bearing grease and install.
zKars Posted February 2, 2020 Share #3 Posted February 2, 2020 Never had to replace them, just clean and repack as mentioned. Maybe in extreme cases if the balls are badly pitted.
