What is the box in the middle of the photo.   LHS against firewall. It connects up to the clock (not working) and makes a humming noise whenever the battery is connected.

Note car is a 73 JDM Fairlady Z / RHD.

I know the unit on the left is the Flasher relay.

It's an oscillator for the rally clock that is standard equipment on JDM Fairlady Z-L. Ron at Zclocks.com can repair your clock and oscillator if needed.

Thanks. A great source of info.

Using his site it is an early two knob rally clock. The hum comes from the tuning fork in the oscillator box.

Clock not working however. Another item to add to the list

Take good care of the rally clock. They have gotten quite expensive!

You can measure the clocks “engine” resistant.

Wires on these clocks are very fragile and they could just be broken.

Numbers should be around these

 Yellow-Green 400
Yellow-White 800
White-Green 400

Is this the resistance in ohms across the various sets of wires?

Ron (zclocks)build me a new wire harness and housing for one of my clocks. Fantastic guy to do business with so don’t hesitate to contact him. Your clock deserve to be functional.
