My New Z

Featured Replies

As some of you already know I've been looking at a V8 240Z from QLD. Last week around this time I purchased the car and had it shipped down. It finally arrived today and I'm exstatic.

The car is more than I expected and also less then I expected (if that makes sense). What I mean is, it is an excellent car but needs a little bit of cosmetic work to get it to it's former glory of Z Nationals concours winning state. It's got stone chips and chipped interior, loose carpet, no carpet in some parts, dud handbrake and wipers etc etc

The power is all there and the potential for more is within easy reach. Just apply money. LOL It'll be a while before I can get some work done to it but there's more than enough for me now.

Anyway, I'll stop rambling and post a few pics.

Pwoar! Nice engine bay.. I turned down a V8 z without even looking at it. I think I might now regret that decision!!!

I saw your car up here in Qld at the Nationals. I was too busy drooling over the engine to notice anything about loose carpet!

Good on Ya,George! It's a sweet looking Ride. With all that power, keep your throttle foot under control so you don't end up paying too much HP tax!!

What an excellent choice. Good to see it arrived in one piece from Bris-Vegas. Love that engine all those cubes, with power and reliability in one.

Annette, my wife won the bet, she said you would buy the V8 Z.

When you decide to go test driving, try out your new found reliability in a northerly direction, come up to Newcastle so we can get a good look over the new Z too. It looks great but some of us did not get to the nationals for a close look ( read drool).

cheers

Hey George,

Love the car. Looks brilliant!!. Even though I am a purest and prefer the original engine, that car looks very nice. Ben and I both agree the Simmons wheels look fantastic. Are they FR17's or 18's.

Hope you bring it to the next club meeting.

Did your old car stay in NSW or was it exported interstate?

Geoff

Congratulations George. It's a dream come true eh? And faster than you expected too ROFL

:)

Nice car George, someone must be crazy to let a baby like that go.Looks like it has all the goodies.Love the strut braces. Are the wheels from a 300?What motor/carb setup.Quarter time yet?Be interested to hear what brakes you have. You will need them to stop that babyROFL :classic:

Looks great George...

Only thing I'd change is a better set of mirrors, don't want any flashing lights sneaking up on you...:devious:

George I think you know I luv that car :). I've never seen it in person but have a great deal of pictures on it and little information.

Maybe u could give us all some info on it
