I'm glad this group educated me about the fusible links. I'm only 17 so I know I'm pretty ignorant. Thanks Guysemoji6.png

You have now passed your first Z initiation test!

There will be more and it will be ongoing just as it is for the rest of us (except Blue).   Ignorance can be cured,  maybe not in my case,  but that's why I'm here anyway…to help me keep mine on the road.

How do your headlights and gauges work now?

Your next initiation is replacing my struts. ROFL.gif' alt='default_rofl.gif' alt='ROFL'>.gif'>
My turn signals give me problems when my battery charge is low.  After a good charge they work fine. Probably not causing your problem but it's worth a try.

What do you mean by a charge exactly?

You mean like take it to autozone so they can charge it?, Because I looked at my fuse busses when I got home and the radio one was fried. I don't even have a radio installed yet but I put all new fuse busses myself. I believe it's 10A according to the cap that goes on the fuse box.

As a starting point, start going on Youtube to find videos on how to use a multimeter if you don't already know how. Download the FSM on a computer, not on your phone. You may want to print out the BE section. It has some excellent breakdowns of the circuits. from there, you get to dig in and see what the hell the IPO (idiot previous owner) did. We can coach you through a lot.  Also download the wiring diagram for your year Z from AtlanticZ. Philip did a great job cataloging the different diagrams.

Be patient. If we tell you to do things a certain way, it's for safety, efficiency, effectiveness, or some combination of those. With patience you will gain knowledge, and you can enjoy your car for a long time.
