Thanks for digging that up Steve. I never get tired of reading that thread. Nice to see the old names from years ago too. There are some really great stories and examples of bringing the old Z cars back from the dead. There have been some really great restorations......Z's are incredibly beautiful and fun to drive.......I just love these little cars. BTW, You don't happen to have Bruce's restoration thread in your archives do you? ......and Jeff, thanks for your compliments.....hope to meet you some day, would love to show you my cars!

love the pics - beautiful car.

but i can't believe you allowed that model to sit on the hood & fenders!

Rossiz, thank you for the compliment on my old car.  The last 3 pictures with the model were taken at the Z restoration shop in Hungary well after I sold the car. I thought the same thing when I saw those pictures. We all know that Nissan used thin gauged metal to make the 240Zs as light as possible and those front fenders are soft. That girl doesn't look like she weighs very much, but I can't believe the shop let her sit on the car!

I agree with you, Guy. There are some really good stories and examples of Z car restorations.  I will try to see if I can find Bruce's restoration thread when I get home from work tonight.

Guy, This is the only link that I could find for Bruce's restoration:

That is some very nice work!  I'd love to see some pictures of the restoration in progress.

Thanks, CDL1452!  I have attached some pictures of what the car looked like when it arrived at my body & paint guy's place from Phoenix. I also attached some pics of the restoration process and a couple more after it was finished. In the fall of 2013, I sold the car and it was transported to the East Coast and then shipped to its new owner in Italy. Later on, it was sent to the Z Shop in Hungary where they took a few pictures of the car with the model, as shown in my original post on this thread before they started modifying the car. Once  they were finished, the video was uploaded to Youtube as also shown on my original post.

I really wish I still had my '71 White 240Z with the rare blue interior. The car was shipped overseas to Italy, then shortly after that, the purchaser divorced his wife and sold the car. The gentleman in Australia purchased the car and had it shipped to Australia. I have stayed in touch with him on Instagram. The thing is that it is a lefthand drive car and in Australia and everyone there drives a righthand drive cars. I was hoping that I could purchase the car back from him someday.

Sold my white on red 72 240 last year to a buyer who shipped it to Bahrain. Here is a video he sent me of the car at a show (strange venue). I definitely miss her.
