this is one of my freinds, pay 550$ to give a stock look to the engine bay

the 550 includes

1 - sandblasting the bay, engine ( after removing the engine outside )

2 - tightening the bolts ( reparing the leakages )

3 - thermal blue quoting for the cylinder , and polishing the head

4 - rearranging the AC and the brake tubes, as per the parts manual and polishing them.

5 - guiding you what ur bay missing ( if u dont know )

6 - gold and silver galvanizing, and some chrome plating

spare parts is not included, time is one week in the shop , actaul work is about 20 hours.

That looks really pretty, but... in "as it came from the factory(otherwise known as "stock") form" NOTHING under the hood was polished or chrome plated ...so if your friend paid $550 to get the look of a stock engine compartment, he must have paid for "stockish"

The compressor used on that AC system wasn't available in 1973 plus it has a condensor mounted electric fan; not stock. Looks great, however.

He does still have the stock fan, (visible at 0:30 in the video) someone just added a pusher fan for extra cooling.

(Give him a break, it gets hot in Kuwait.)

That is excellent value for $550. Looks great, clean and very original. Well done, wish there was somewhere in Australia that would do this for so cheap!

I told him to remove the front electric fan, as well as to change the color of the starter ( black ) the starter as what we saw in the old broshures ( gold and gray )

That appears to be a 'mist jet' type compressor. Nissan didn't utilize that type until 1979. A 1973 would have had a 'swash plate' type compressor which would be visually distingushable by the side cover which the one in your video does not have.
