Son helping me get Z parts

Recommended Posts

Thought I would get my son to show mommy what he wanted for Christmas. I mean what 20 month old would not want some original loop 240Z floormats...right!!! LOL

It's when they start helping that things get really interesting...

I don't have kids, but I can tell you that the hundreds (maybe thousands) of hours I spent in the garage with my Dad restoring Mustangs and Vettes when I was growing up, are probably my best memories with him.

Oh how adorable – both little boys! Gosh, I wish my dad knew how to work on cars. Seems like every time I go visit him, he has bought another part for me to install on his wife’s Honda.

Hey, wait a minute … where’d you get that MSA printed catalog? I recently asked for one and they sent me a catalog on CD. So much for good reading material in the water closet. :disappoin

The catalog in the pic is just a holiday gift guide. I got mine the other day too, and my, how intriguing. :)

Very cute kid, btw. You should get him to help tune those SUs. LOL

My experience with a 'youngster' in the shop was when big brother brought his 5 year old daughter to 'help out'. She was imitating our work but she was using 80 grit on places we had finished with 220!

My son loved to help me take apart the Z. It took us a few years to get it to where it's time to put it back together. We better hurry or I'll have to give it to him when he gets his license.

Zak,

Seeing your beautiful son in the engine bay of your car gave me a brilliant idea. Can I borrow your son for half an hour? I think he could better reach the fresh are vent cable up under my dash. My hands are too big to get behind my aftermarket A/C:classic:.
