This is a follow up poll to the on-going 240Z carpet thread.

What features in a 240Z carpet kit are important to you? Please check as many choices as are applicable.

Also, please assume that there will be at least two basic kits, one for most Series 1 cars, and one for the later cars. Very early low-VIN cars are a special case, and should be considered separately.

Gotta be bound all the way around. I've seen them without. Bound around the mounting tab area under the front seats or it'll rip too easy.

Thanks Arne for posting the poll---it's sure to be helpful.

I think finding the snap halves shouldn't be a problem and the underpadding will work itself out as well.

Bryan (LBO370) PM'ed me today with encouraging news!!

He has several carpet samples and thinks the serging of the cut-outs is no problem. He's working up a sample piece from the pattern I sent him, but he asked "Do you really think there is much demand?"

I trust Bryan's judgement explicitly. Pictures of the sample will be available as soon as it can be done I am sure, but in the meantime---

I ran out of poll choices, Dave. We're limited to 15 choices. But edge binding is a given, as far as I'm concerned.

I'll take one as well. 1972z. mfg 12/71. Thanks for your efforts so far. This sounds like a winner.

Other colors. For those of us not trying to be original / correct. I'm going with a grey/black/charcoal color.

Will use indoor/outdoor loop carpet. Will have the edges bound, probably with vinyl tape. (Exactly what I had in my previous Z when I had access to a commercial sewing machine). I'd do it myself, but it would kill my sewing machine.

Also, I like a rubber (attached) underpad, also available with indorr/outdoor carpeting.
