Where's the best place to buy Panasports or Konig Rewinds? I want to pick up the 16" rims in the light silver color. Of course I want the best deal with the right service. Any of you done that research already? Thanks!

My research shows that Ebay has the best prices fot the Rewinds, but I have not purchased from the buyers that are selling them. MSA sells them for a little more, but I'll bet their service is better.

I take that back, I just found the 16" Rewinds sell on MSA's web site for $569.95, and there is one set on Ebay right now fot $600.

You could also go woth the Rota RB, I dont know if they come in a 16" though. I personally think they look way better than the Rewinds.... more agressive. If thats what you're going for.

Mike last summer I bought a set of the fast fowards(rewinds) from a guy in Cali. They were 15x7 grey with polished lips Hankook performance tires mounted balanced and delivered for $900. I posted a link here last year about them but now I cant find the link. The guy said they were selling them to MSA and that must have been the case because I see they sell them now. I know you want 16" but if you can find my old link you might be able to contact the guy instead of going thru MSA. I believe the name of the post was called "A great deal". Hope this helps

If you want Panasports contact Les @ Classic Datsun. Konigs are alot cheaper.

I spoke to Les last week about the Konig Rewinds. He said he's not selling them any more because they break when you race on them. He recommended the Panasports.

I was told the Konigs are Chinese made for around $30 a rim.....

but will the 15x7 fit over toyota 4x4 calipers on a 240z?

Yes the 15 X 7 Panasports will clear the toyota calipers.

konigs on this site are $550 shipped http://www.jlbmotorsports.com/rims/konig-list.html#Rewind they also have some konig rewind knock offs called 'fast forward' but only have them in 15x7, i got them for $300 cash.

A word of caution: there's very little performance rubber available in 15" sizes for our Zs. A quick check at Tirerack for 215/60-15 summer tires shows only 3 choices: Pirelli P6000, Sumitomo HTR 200, and Yokohama ES100. That list is likely to get shorter, not longer, as each year there are less cars on the road using 15" performance tires.

The cost of new wheels isn't that much greater for 16" rims, and there are a lot more performance choices in 225/50-16 sizes (4 pages worth at tirerack).

If you go with 15" rims, I think it's likely that soon your only choices will be all-season tires.
