Hi,

I did some work refreshing for metal headlight bowl case of my Z432.IMG_2676.jpegIMG_3438.jpeg

In Japan, headlights case has a note “右配光”

(Aiming to the right) and “L o R.”

Is that its lens cut different?

I have a new set of the light bowl but I don’t want to use it because new replacements from Nissan has different shape of the plastic screw cover.Original is also a see through plastic but new one is white.

So I cleaned it and painted it with hand written “右配光 R(L)”

“12V”

Please note earlier type doesn’t have tiny holes for retaining the rubber seal to the metal bowl.

Hi, I have worked some minor things for mirrors, horns etc.

Fairlady Z series has mirrors on the front fenders and the way they mount is completely different from the one for the US.

Mirrors have to be flexible when they hit something.

The horn, the Higher tone has “H” and te lower tone has “L” shown on the bracket.

You see S12, I am sure S means 1969, 12 means December. It makes sense to my 01/1970 Z432.

My two 03/1970 cars have T2, indicating 1970 February.

Also my 1972 June 240ZG has V6, The rules seemed to apply for all of my cars.

Here are some refreshments why Z432. Please note the inner rear gate weather strip is NOS the earliest version. It is now a bit harder than when it was newly delivered but the rear gate can close almost perfectly. Probably after passing a few years the rubber will get used to cope with the rear gate more.

Merry Christmas

E4100 is 520mm, for cars up to Sep 1971

E8700 is 555mm, for cars from Sep 1971

This is my memo for the transmission I have.

I don’t think most people here need this information though. For myself, and wish if someone will appreciate it.

My friend Tomitaku san (an engineer and mechanic of OS GIKEN) made very good series of video of rebuilding an S20. His work, his passion, are just outstanding. And his words are very instructive and full of appreciation for the ex Prince engineers make me so happy. Worth to see for sure. S20 engine is such a great engine. I am glad we have Tomitaku san.

This exactly information I was searching for last month..... Thank you Kats for both this chart and detailed pictures of the early/late driveshafts.... Still trying to figure out how a 75 car wound up from the dealer with a early a/monkey motion trans and short 2 piece drive shaft.
