I've searched the internet and the books I have but not been able to find much other than quarter front shots. I would like to see what the whole paint scheme was/looked like, especially the rear of the car. This is one of the best shots I've found below with #0006 in the middle, but as you can see it's only an upper front view. Anyone got any others?

Whoa! Guys!

You are getting fooled! The original HLS30-00006 in 1970 and 1971 was dark burgundywith white numbers. I just passed on some really nice pictures of the car on eBay not too long ago. I was shocked to flip over to Zhome.com and NOT find pictures of the original car. The car we saw at the convention has been repainted into the later scheme - 1973 and 1974 when Jim Fitzgerald drove the car. That chassis, as we saw it a month ago, has been substatially modified from originally raced to accomodate subsequent years of racing. That's 06 all right, but not as 06 was originally raced.

I thought the paint looked pretty good for having been around the block a few times.

The current car represents the BSR car with C-Production flares. Bob is a really good guy and has lots of information on his cars, including colors etc. if you are looking to incorporate his paint scheme on your car.

Thanks Steve. That is how I remember the car. Notice the difference in the roll cage?

Someone should build a replicar of this one as nice as yours, Ron.

Thanks to all of you, I'm not really interested in building a replicar but I do like that paint job, I'm really thinking of doing it just without the numbers and graphics and maybe with some pearl :)

greyghost,

Great Photo! According to Bob, he was not a fan of the early color and much preferred the later color scheme.

Lance,

Good luck with the paint job, it is a tricky scheme to layout at best.
