Coolest cars of all time...

Featured Replies

If I had my choice of just one car for a cool toy, it would most definitely be the V12 powered Jaguar XK-13!!! Unfortunetly there is only one in existance.....bummer! Oh, the sound of a V12............ Stephen, a buddy of mine had a Hemi Cuda back in high school. I can remember one of the rides he gave me one night getting on the freeway....the damn think pulled so hard you were literally glued back in the seat. Remember Lion's Drag strip? In stock form with the open stock cast headers and a set of slicks, the Cuda was turning 12.40 et's...those were the days. Wait a minute...come to think of it I'm having more fun now in my Z than I ever did in any other car I've owned!!! I quess that's one of the reasons we have they babies.

Ahhh yes.. one of my favorites also. There are a few companys building replica's. http://www.proteuscars.com/protxj13.html this place for one.

I watched a show on Speed channel with Alan DeCadenet (sp?) Can't recall the name of the show, but it was in 4 or 5 parts... Jaguar...Ferrari...Alfa Romeo.... Aston Martin and Porsche. In the Jaguar show he gets to drive one on some private roads in England (lucky bastard!!!!!) Oh yea.. Victory by design is the name of the show.

Dave

Saw the shows Dave........outstanding!!! I mean, does Alan DeCadenet have the coolest job ever???

Yes, the late 60's and early 70's muscle cars were cool, they could pass anything except a gas station.

7 to 9 miles to the gallon of gas is pretty typical in those things.

And they don't corner very well.

:classic:

toyota 2000gt all the way. that and a few scattered skylines, maybe a couple old ferraris... but mostly 2000gt.

Ordinarily I would agree with you but have you seen these cars after a dose of technology?! I got 13" brakes and a t-56 in my 73 with close to 400hp. I got 25mpg and can stop on a dime! And...it handles pretty good! No Z car but still...its fun!

A heavily modified 240Z car would be my dream car. It does not have those fancy names such as Ferrari or Bugatti or Jaguar, etc. Furthermore, it is less common on the road :)

i'm not a vette nut, but i always liked the 63 slit window vette.kinda like the 240z- beautiful lines and never looked dated.

Jeremy Clarkson put the 240Z at 24(might have been 26) on his list of top 100 cars.
