Hey, i found a datsun i like but its got "Pin hole leaks in the Injector lines" that is what the lady who owns it told me. replacing fuel injector lines is simple right? just take off old and replace w. new? making sure to keep all lines going to same places ect.. also would this be a sign of more serious problems?

I just inherited a 79 280ZX as a high school graduation present. My dad and I are trying to get it going but the car sat for a good number of years. We used starter fluid to see if it would start and it does now we need to get fuel to the injectors. Any recommendations on how get the system primed? Any help is greatly appreciated.

does anyone know if the throttle body from a 280ZX turbo can be used on the 78 280Z? Is it the same as the 60MM TB that Motorsports is selling? thanks for your help. JC

What are the size and approximate length of the rubber fuel lines under the hood of a 280z. I'm going to look at a 76 280 for sale in a nearby town this weekend and the owner said the only problem is one of the rubber fuel lines in the engine compartment is leaking. Thought I might replace them and take it for a drive. Nice to know in advance what size/length of hose I will need. I've worked on a 240z, but never a 280. I assume the only rubber fuel lines under the hood are those that feed the injector rail. Feed and return, right? James

Just wondering if all L28's came with the electronic fuel injection relay...or if it was only on some? As I got an engine with wiring etc, but can't seem to find an Electronic fuel injection relay.... The engine is from a late 280zx. Cheers

I have a stock 77 280 with FI, and it's making me long for the manual choke on 240's. It starts up on cold Washington mornings with no problem, but has a very rough idle until it starts to warm up. Cold idle is only about 1000-1100, so that's part of the problem. I've replaced the air regulator with a new one from MSA but that didn't fix the problem for long. They suggested I clean the electrical contacts, but that didn't help either. Any solutions out there?

I just bought a 76 280 that needs injectors (apperently) I will find out when I get it home. Anyone have suggestions about what to do with this thing. It was suggested that I should just find a set of SU's and forget about the FI system. Any suggestions here would be great. Thanks guys .. hope to see some of you on the road ..hehe getting abit ahead of myself .. I may just part it out too Thanks ..Bruce

Hi all ..just hoping someone could give me some info I am about to pick-up a 76 280 z I bought and the owner says the injectors are shot and that is all that is wrong. What would be the first test to determine what is wrong with these injectors? I am a carb guy and am not too sure how to work on injectors. Thanks .. Bruce
