  1. If I am going for an original look I would turn down the slot edition. I would only use the counsole with the slot if there were no other options. To each his own. Out for the weekend.....have a sunny one:classic:
  2. Stay away from the 92 Vette....may as well keep the Z32. As an Infiniti G35 Coupe owner, I would HIGHLY recommend the G35(Nissan Skyline) Coupe or Sedan. Also the Nissan Patrol that you get there is a pretty nice ride.
  3. Overfenders are what the Japanese call the add-ons like the 432 had. Overfenders can be place on by using rivots through the cutout spots. When I lived in Japan I used to go to Nostalgic Garage events with my friend who was always looking for these "overfender" things....I did not know what he was talking about until he located a set of what I thought were "fender flares".
  4. That is what my Infiniti G35 6MT Coupe is for....2 daughters who don't drive stick, now because they don't want to drive the Z they are trying to get the G from under the car cover and out of the garage. I bought the automatic so my kids had an extra automatic to drive besides the SE-R that I bought them. I don't mind sharing the Z, it is the G I am selfish with.
  5. If it is pictures with the lady that is on your profile than I too am looking forward to my new edition of Sport Z.
  6. I am thinking about selling my 101K mile, 73 automatic blue with off white interior. It is in all original condition with working A/C, new c/d ipod ready deck, new tires, SUs, new springs and shocks, new custom Ed Hanson 2 1/2 exhaust and Wesco retraint retractable seat belts(still have the originals). The problem with the car is that no one else in my family will drive it but me because of the lack of power steering. The car will have a newly rebuilt transmission as well. The car is most likely in a 2+ condition. I am trying to come up with a starting price. I am torn, maybe someone can talk me out of it.
  7. I got a spare set of square tops that came off my low milage 73. Let me know by PM if you are interested in them.
  8. It is all about the condition of the car.
  9. I always recommend shopping around for the best price. Courtesy Nissan has some good stuff as well as cybersanford and Banzai. The guys at Motorsport are great, especially Abraham, ebay sometimes works good too. As for V/B now Black Dragon, they have some good prices, but the order takers have not technical expertise what so ever. The great thing about Motorsport is the knowledge of the guy who is taking your order.
  10. I am running the Tokico non-adjustables on my old 78 now for over 10 years with the ST lowering springs just like Palmer. I think this set up has done very well over the years, it is firm yet not stiff. I have spent some time in Bahrain and I have seen some of the off the main drag streets, some of them can be real ruff, like the streets near the U.S. Navy base. There is not much you can do to your car to make it smooth on roads like them. By the way, Bahrain is real nice to visit, I like Dubai a little better....both have great night life.
  11. Got'm on my late 73 as well.
  12. Maybe no one had the answer......I am sure you did not read a bunch of bullsh*t answers of guesses. Many have read....and most did not have the answer. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. I got a 78 sitting in the driveway with a PNO for over a year due to no smog cert....that is life.
  13. Just get a set of 5" rear strut spacers from a 260 or 280. I lowered my 73 with STs and new struts.....but I hated it at first. Then I went to my local "pull your own part" paid a guy $20 to pull a set of 5 inchers off a 77 280 which I paid $10 for. Got them put on my car by a friend of mine and was so happier. The stance with 3" on the front and 5" on the back is outstanding. Give the 5" spacers a try it will cost you little and I am sure you will like it.
  14. What did you barter????? :bandit:
  15. I found a 10 spot in my freshly washed shorts last night....I thinking about using it on this desert queen.
  16. Remember the car does not have a title so it most likely will have to be parted out. The valve cover alone can be resold for $150 or more, the bumpers $100 plus each. Here is how you do it, buy the car pay the man for it, take the parts you want, then call the Z Barn or Ecology Auto Wreckers to take away the rest of the car. If you live in Southern Cali it would be worth the ride to the Az desert. To the LA guy interested in the car you might think about going about it the way I laid out.
  17. I have the Dynomax on both my 78 and 73. I have 2 1/4 pipe on both cars. I originally went without the resonator on my 73 but took it back to my favorite muffler shop two weeks later to have them put it in. The car was 2X as loud. I like it so much better now than before I had the resonator placed in. My 78 has a free flow cat on and along with the dynomax sounds great. I love the sound of my cars with the Dynomax. I get all my systems at Ed Hanson's here in San Diego.
  18. Late 73 and Late 78 owner interested here.
  19. A guy in our club has the one that is at the MSA West Coast Nationals every year. His car always places. I kinda remember back in 96 or so when he repainted and restriped the car, but I think he painted the stripes vice stickers. As for the car that started this thread....it does not look that great in the picture, I could be wrong.
  20. Looks more like plumbing pipe then exhaust pipe.
  21. Montezuma replied to KenshinX's topic in Open Discussions
It seems as thought the person selling the car is not a Z guy. I sold a 73 for $400.00 that was ALOT worst, the guy who got it, loves it. If you can get this thing for under $500 it might be worth it....of course it would be better if you could get a look at prior purchase.
  22. Whatever...I quit...you win.....
  23. bought it that way....I am WAY too smart to ever break something on my otherwise original car. Let me tell you it is no joy starting an automatic without working choke cables.
  24. In southern California that car would have ended up on Ebay, granny most likely never heard of Ebay. 510 wagons are hot in Cali. If you were ever to sell it on Ebay there is a very good chance the highest bidder will be from Cali, most likely southern California. "Enjoy the Ride".
  25. Buy the new cables they are not that much $$$....ask JZM. I had a set that broke and cause the plastic on the consol that they were mounted to break. This is an automatic consol too....so I am going to have to come up with another way to mount the choke. The point is; don't take a chance on ruining your consol like what happened to me get new cables.
