Thanks Beandip. I'd enjoy the car before it's undriveable; but its been undriveable since I got it. I still have yet to drive it, ever. I've never driven a Z so its kinda strange. But thank you for the advice. http://www.cardomain.com/id/theianmonster - I have updated with new pictures. I started primer on the hood!

The outter seal on my windshield is pretty shot. If I take out the outter seal, will the windshield fall out? It really needs to be replaced, but when I tried to pull the glass out of my parts car the glass cracked. Any advice? - Ian.

Thank you all for the advice. Its really hard because I look at all of the cars around that have been completely gutted, sandblasted, and all of this stuff, and how perfect they are. I just came to realization the other night that it doesn't need to be perfect, it just has to reflect me and my hard work. To Ed: I had a parts car for a while, and it did help quite a bit, but it rests in pieces. http://www.cardomain.com/id/theianmonster - here's a link to my project so far. And thank you for the support, I knew I did the right thing when I registered here, you're the best group of guys ever. - Ian.

what do you do when your project is everythign you've always wanted, but because of financial reasons you'll never have it as perfect as you'd like to? i've been thinking about that for the past week or so, just wanted to know if some of you have been in the same sorts of situations.
12. Happy Zmas to you too. I've been off school since last Friday, and its going by so slow, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Well, my first Z (my 1972 240Z) had been in an accident leaving my house. It belonged to a family friend and it got hit leaving my drive way after a long day of planning a dirt bike trip with my step dad. Needless to say, the previous owner had spray painted the car, just so it looked "decent", there was bondo everywhere (that wasn't very well done) and lots of little stuff wrong with it. Not to mention a used condom underneath the passenger seat. . But, I got the Z for $750 which was a steal. For my second Z, I got a donor car. The car belonged to the same guy who sold me my '72, this was his son's car though. He was going down a hill at about 25mph and lost control and hit someone head on, which totalled the car. This was the "better" out of the two before it was wrecked. It was a '73. I ended up cutting metal out of it to use, and lots of little parts, until about a month ago it was hauled off to the dump; which broke my heart, but I had no room for it, and there wasn't a lot left. I figure two Z's under my belt, and I'm only 17, that's pretty good eh?
21. I plan on owning all these in the future: 1972 Datsun 510 1972 Nissan Skyline GT-R (maybe; its a hard one to find) Early-70's Toyota Celica Early-70's BMW 2002

A free Z? Wow. I've owned two Z's, and one was free because it was totaled. Good find. You'll like the club; very nice group of people.

24. i've found a few different colors, red, pale yellow, grey, white. not to mention the factory bondo they used to shape the car and stuff.
