I also forgot to say that i still have the Su's and all the carb stuff. The car would be totally complete and original (except the aftermarket ignition) if you were to reassemble it ( i still have pics when it was together) If you want anything at all please contact me. Every interior part is mint or if not, close, and the engine/drive train is solid. Im sad to see it go, but i dont have the time or the money :disappoin

Well the time has come and i am now parting out my Z. Its a complete car but its taken apart at the moment. The shell is rotted but i believe it can be restored. Seats are mint dash cap is mint it just need to be clean, all glass is good, doors, hatch are all good. Fenders have some bondo, rear quarter pannels have some bondo, suspension is rusty but solid, calipers arent worn but rusty, all brakes are good except the E-brake is rusted and doesnt work. The right rear bleed screw broke off, the restoration was started, but i dont have the time or money to complete it. if u need ANY z part im pretty much selling everything. Also the trans/engine are original with only 50k miles on it. I do have the title as well. Just yesterday i bought a brand new Thrush turbo muffler for it that i am selling aswell. Quick question for all of you. I have my whole shell stripped down now its time to remove the engine and drive train. Can i remove these ALL together by supporting them up and removing the mounts? this way I can just slip the new shell on ( IF I CAN EVER FREAKIN FIND ONE) I looked at it as i was removing the exhaust and suspension and all that good stuff, looked like i could but i figured i would ask incase theres something i dont know about. The jacks would be as following: 2 under the engine, 1 under tranny mount and 2 supporting the drive shaft.

well life just keeps getting more frustrating. I think my mind has collapsed after spending countless hours looking for a Z chassis or shell. Once again if anyone has a shell or chassis LET ME KNOW

well everything is black but i think it used to have red vynil. and that mfing rolling chassis sold on me... IM HAVING THE WORST DAMN LUCK EVER! dash and seats are perfect but i dont know if im sellin em yet. Every get those pics bill?

Hi, im in the midst of my restoration and i have some parts i would like to sell because i am now obtaining a new 240z rolling chassis. I am selling the shell for $50 and its need in need of restoration. There are many useful parts on it like the glass, inner rockers, shock towers, and the rear end is solid. there is a small crack in the windshield but it can be repaired. Within the next 2 weeks i will be posting many new parts that im selling, possibly the engine (runs mint with only 50k miles on it) and the tranny.

any idea how much shipping would be for the whole shell from AZ to massachusetts? it might cost just as much for me to dirve somewhere and buy one, and u said urs is in decent condition.. ill see what i can do

yup just got a reply =( it sold... ive put about 7+ hours of straight internet searching for a damn shell/chassis in the bast 3 days

buy an A/C, a dehumidifier, couple cans of spider spray and your set. Just keep up with the sweeping and vaccuming ( but make sure you dont leave the vaccum in the same room your just vaccumed or in ur house ) Also clean out behind cabinets and stuff like that.

I was looking for a 240z shell and they had a 1972 and 1973 completely rust free shells for $1500 (little outa my range, but think... RUST FREE ) I Believe they are located in AZ... check em out if your interested. I thought id post this cuz if ur looking to import a 280zx coupe from the U.S. i bet they would have one. Anyways good luck on finding one!

Ok... well this is starting to get frustrating as hell now! I need either a shell or a rolling chassis with a strong shell. Can ANYONE help me out here, ive got a z sitting in my driveway completely dismantled and waiting for this lucky shell/chassis to arrive. Ive spent hours on end looking for something and its not workin out. Any help is very appreciated.

Before my Z touches the road, a new seat belt will be installed, and i was looking into a way to reinfore the interior, maybe running a small rollcage. This deffinantly puts a new perspective on driving a Z.

seems like a decent deal, but it is sitting in snow so check out the rust.

Thanks for all these replies. The one i found in NJ is easy for me to get, but from what i can see its somewhat rusty... Plus the guy hasnt responded yet ( hope hes not blowing me off :sleepy: ). Well your offer for the free Z shell is very tempting Kurt... but i dont think i could make it to Arizona from Massachusetts (plz dont crush it tho! )... its just not practical. Ill keep searching and if anyone comes across one please let me know

well thats no good... you will need a level place to jack it up... make a deal with ur parents to use the garage while u fix it and when ur done doin the job itl be outa there ASAP... only thing i can think of :lick:
