Yup... Steve is correct....flat tops have the fuel around the jet like webers.. if fact SU adapted this from (guessing) Hitachi for their HIF. Flat tops also have two circuits and a bigger balance tube. I have read about some racers removing plugs in the balance tube to get even more air into the engine that can pass by the throttle valve..... thus the query.

  4. Thanks Fred. That is the first Japanese Z racing that I have seen. Is there any more out there on the net? I love the high speed! Those Z's flying by are incredible. Fuji Speedway had a great banked turn like Monza after that long straight but they removed it . It seems like it used to be nearly full out the whole track. I found this GTR Lap video with the banked turn. You can hear the gears and RPM..... pretty much top gear all around....

  9. Mainland China.... they also produce food and safety equipment there.

My ignition is worn but I kinda like driving 75mph then pulling the keys out and throwing them at the passenger.... or starting the car with a friend's Z key
  12. If you can drive around with the hood open and place a clear fuel filter where you can see it, you can easily see fuel starvation...I know from experience.

I hear ya. With all the crap on the net now, filters are required in searches unless you want to wade through pages of junk. Google used to let me have up to 100 hits on one page but now they cut it back to 10 forcing me to go through about 3 pages of ad related hits before getting to useful data. I have a Honda S2000.... try searching useful info on that with all the gangsta honda kids' data clots. Boolean operators are a must as a minimum but when the search engines start ignoring them and forcing ads in the hits..... the internet is dead. Google used to explicitly allow the searching of data on just one site but now they are watering that down. That is what got me mad. I remembered putting a pic up of a rotted thermostat housing so I explicitly searched this site for "rot" but the first hits were for rottweiller and roti. btw I first saw the de-evolution of searching with Kijiji (An Ebay owned classified site). I searched the automobile section for honda S2000 and hundreds of hits like 2000 pontiac or 2000 acura would return... digging through ~ 10 to 20 of the hits and I may see an actual Honda S2000 with "honda S2000" as the caption!!! Similarly, searching "weber" returns over a hundred hits with "web".... yes the search engine is so smart it can read your mind and assume you only wanted to search the first syllable. No boolean either. The world is getting dumber or I am getting smarter but I am smart enough to know I am not getting smarter. (I am a little dangerous like Baddog ) Maybe I should throw in the towel and do this: <s>Blue</s> now Red dawg
  14. Wish it was closer. I need lots of series 1 parts.
  15. Never heard of the OBX (apart from the synth). Looks like OBX is of typical mainland China quality metals, quality build and consistent component uniformity... OBX_LSD Products Remember they can polish a turd there very well.
  16. 38mm socket. Easy to get to from above only if you don't have the AC or smog pump in the way. I picked up a tool like this when in Japan. I think it would work nicely.

If the cylinder under test is not at TDC, the compressed air can in theory turn the crank and in turn (pun) decrease the pressure through increased volume. The other chambers should not affect the results (a measurement of sealing) however, if the plugs are in the other cylinders, they would be more reluctant too turn when driven by the piston under test. Here is how I would do it: All plugs out Test cylinder at TDC Engine in 5th with Ebrake on

It isn't free... they make money. Give me Alta Vista.... or Google from 5 years ago oh yeah they killed both. A search engine is not evolving,,, if it was there would be selection to help refine searches.... they had that and now have disabled it to give you what they think you want. To me it is like Cannon and Nikon forcing a distributed load of smile detection filter on every camera they have produced.... not many photos at boxing matches or hockey games after that! The beauty of software is how easy it is to implement choice (conditions)... the dingbat programmers are now forcing choices on us .... and taking away the tools of choice. I think we are seeing the internet die right before us folks. It may seem trivial but so were a few dudes in red coats. Sorry for the rant but the "site:" prefix was the only tool I can use these days to filter though the heaps of junk on the net...now it is dumbed down.
