  1. Thanks all. My project is a seat latch assembly that is 3" long. It will not be touched very often, so the finish does not have to be as hard as real chrome. Has anyone used Molotow Burner Chrome Spray Paint https://www.hobbytown.com/molotow-burner-chrome-spray-paint-150ml-mlw443/p823931 Keith

  3. Anyone have experience with Spazstix Ultimate Mirror Chrome (https://www.hobbyrecreationproducts.com/collections/spazstix-ultimate-mirror-chrome)? I have an interior trim part that needs a chrome appearance and I am concerned that this paint will not be durable enough to withstand the fingerprint touching. Thanks for your input. Keith

  11. You should consider the paint work first. Prepping the car for paint should uncover any prior body damage. At that time, you can assess whether the car is worthy of your investment of time and money. If you decide the car is worth the investment, complete the paint work then move on to the interior. Are you planning to change the exterior color? If so, then a thorough repaint requires doors, hood, hatch and engine removal. Good luck (and add photos to your postings to let us know how the project progresses). Keith

  15. I am interested in creating the clear vinyl seat protectors for the later model seats. Per my research, the Type 2 seat was used for the post-1971 240Z, 260Z, and 280Z. I have attached a photo of the protectors that I believe are appropriate for the 1972 240Z. According to the parts manual, the reclining bracket part numbers 86470-E8800 (left) 87470-E8800 (right) - outboard and 87480-N4500 (left) and 86480-N4500 (right) - inboard were used for post-1971 240Z thru June 1976. I need confirmation what location(s) the seat protectors show below are configured to fit. Thanks for your help. Keith

Rivets may be the wrong fastener I was looking at some past emails from jfa.series1, he indicated a source for hex-head screws. I will reach out to the supplier to see if they offer self-tapping sheet metal screws. Keith

As I see the photos, the A pillar coverage would compliment extending the landau material to the hood. Naturally, the engine heat may effect adhesive, so my rivet solution can be extended to the hood area. There are way too many stock 240Z's around. I want my car to really stand out at a car show! Keith

Nice, the illustration show adhesive. I thought some black rivets (to match the vinyl) would be a better alternative. Glue and other adhesives can deteriorate due to heat and moisture. I want some permanency to this enhancement. Keith
