idiot previous owner, ruined crack free dash...

that picture was taken at idle after about 3 minutes of run time. i use 10w30 mobil1 synthetic. I recently drained my gas tank and now it seems there is something that is plugging up the line because i cant seem to get any fuel to my fuel filter with my electric fuel pump. I drained a little bit of gas right now and it seemed to clear up the problem. I think it was that or maybe my hoses weren't tight enough and i didn't have enough suction. Where exactly is the pick up for the gas inside the gas tank anyways? so OEM is 170??? Why does it show standard as being 180 on the black dragon catalog...

I have a 180 Standard that i got from black dragon. It seems to stay around the same place so i don't think its over heating. I added a picture to my gallery, just waiting for approval.

I also installed a new thermostat also. Im pretty sure i installed it correctly with the little bezel on the opposite side of the water inlet.

My temp sensor shows the hot a little past the middle to about the right corner of the M, Is this normal or should it be right in the middle. I recently installed a new therm stat sensor.

Well i got the new wheel cylinders and found out that they where the same ones that i got the first time. The brake line was set up to come on the bottom and not on the back like the original left wheel cylinder. I had to bend the brake line (thank god it didn't break or kink) to make it fit. So long story short the wheel cylinders that Black Dragon sells will require modification to fit. I just wish they would have said something.

I know that they make H rating for 16 inch tires, not to sure about 15 and below. Whats the difference in the rating anyways? Is it just the compound? I thought it had to do with the max speed rating for the tire. Anyone have a link were i can read the ratings?

If i ever get loaded im gonna drop Audi RS4 platform onto a Z. Always wondered what 425 hp awd would do.

thanks for the link. I ended up getting a stock replacement. I wish i had the skills to manufacture a bracket. I saw the steel mounts that were sold but i didn't want to deal with the noise issue that they cause.

I believe Falken has a new tire that is replacing the ZIEX 512 line up, Falken Ziex Ze 912. They have a longer life span 400 tread wear i believe and they have grooves for better wet traction. You might want to check them out.

mechanic said the mount was broken. just didn't know which one it was. I need to replace it. Any idea where i can get one without having to special order?

Well after a year of having my Z its finally on the road. The only problem is that i believe the differential mount is broken. It makes a thumping sound every time im changing gears from the rear of the car. I was wondering what was the name of the mount so I could replace it. Hopefully i won't have to special order it.

yah, they go from 70 - 6/72. i heard something about the 260z models and up having the same model wheel cylinders on each side.

Well just wanted to give everybody a quick update. Got to work on the brakes and found out the hard way that the wheel cylinder was the wrong part. Where the brake line was didn't line up to the hole on the brake cylinder. Black Dragon is sending me the last Left side 70-72 wheel cylinder they have in stock. Back order will be 3-6 weeks. Or at least thats what they told me.

I was wondering if the 240z had a rear main seal. Is it 1 one piece or multiple piece? I am trying to track down an oil leak thats around my oil pan gasket near the transmission. If it does, does someone know the part number?

read the info wrong. I am getting dry fouling. what can i do to remedy that?

looks like wet or dry fouling the only difference is the tip of the iridium can be seen, everything is is dark.

I pulled a plug today and it looks like they are really dark. How do i tell if the plug is fouled?

So the reg NGKs are fine, no need to get platinum NGKs ??
