the z is a good base for a v8 powerplant I say go for it.I like my 240 but lets face it,it's just another car and if it's yours who cares what anyone thinks,i'll be ripping mine apart soon for a small block implant myself
i'm sure everyone knows this one, a oil filter for a 302 or 5.0 ford small block, quite a bit larger than the nissan filter I know one from a 91 ford thunderbird 5.0 works

not much the 280 is a different beast,I had one here and I basically couldn't use anything except the engine,tranny,rear end,i think most of the body parts interchange and the glass but the interior is different and won't work without modification and why would you want a 71 with 280 parts mishmashed into it?
I'm at a loss for words,I did this swap myself and it is easy once you rip everything off the motor so you can see what the hell your doing wish I could tell you how to do it
