I also like to add a picture of one of the Fuji cars…. On the right a Dutch journalist ready for take off round the circuit.
  3. Hold on guys, What’s all this. First of all somebody advises to replace the rear struts to give the car a lift of 3 -5 inches. Then Rainer comes with a story to get it down again one inch….. I’m confused….. :stupid: I'll have a look for it, I gues you want two?
  4. Whether converting rally entry fees into prizes or saloon car fans to sports car travel the Datsun 240Z has a large following all over the world which is likely to grow here once it starts being imported in quantity later this year. Among its rally successes are outright wins on the Safari and the Welsh, plus a fantastic fifth overall en the Monte Carlo Rally. * In view of the interest these have aroused, we asked Tony Fall if we could borrow his rally car for a few days. This was arranged by courtesy of Old Woking Service Station, who have prepared and maintained the car since it arrived here. This particular car has quite a history as 240Zs go, for it was first of all a development car built right-hand-drive in Japan before the RAC Rally last year and shipped to England. After quite a lot of testing, it was still in good enough condition to be offered to John Bloxham for the rally itself and the Cadwell rallycross afterwards. It was then revamped for the Monte Carlo recce, and after two months of that it got pressed into service as a service car. When it was decided to lend it to Tony Fall for some rallies over here, it was taken over from Datsun's operation centre in Brussels to Old Woking where Ron Hicks and his men did a complete strip and rebuild of car and engine. The car went out and won the Welsh, and was leading the Scottish when the gearbox failed; since then it has been used only for the Castrol Rallypoint by Tony. It still had Long Marston mud hanging beneath it when we picked it up from Old Woking. You want to know how it ends? See my website below....first page on the left, "news" :ninja:
  5. So a strut of 2+2 is interchangeable (one on one) to a 240Z directly. I ask this because you spoke of a taller end mount thing? Did you try?

Thanks Ben & Alan, You miss my car?? That’s possible; this event costs 2500 euro roughly $3300!! And I don’t have that at this moment… still I love to take part one time!!! It keeps you of the street for several days…so to speak. I met Tony Fall and Shekhar Metha in 2002 when the Ypress rally took place. Tony was driving there and Shekhar accompanied his wife who was navigating Tony.. You are able to read the story at my webpage. I’ll drive ‘my’ rally in three weeks time. The Horneland, a two days trip which I’m looking forward to.. :classic:

A blonde woman was speeding down the road in her little red sports car and was pulled over by a woman police officer, who was also a blonde. The cop asked to see the blonde's driver's license. She dug through her purse and was getting progressively more agitated. "What does it look like?" she finally asked. The policewoman replied, "It's square and it has your picture on it." The driver finally found a square mirror, looked at it and handed it to the policewoman. "Here it is," she said. The blonde officer looked at the mirror, then handed it back saying, "Okay, you can go. I didn't realize you were a cop."
