Just signed For the Worlds GREATEST NAVY. SO I wont be making the worlds best money but, hey everything I make goes directly into my pocket. I would fall under the U.S$12-15K. I plan to pay a professional to fully go through my project 71. Any of you guys know of a good company? -Brandon 3 1971 240 zeds

If you have the money and time do them both. If you depend on your Z every day do what you can the best you can. Remember You only have to rebuild them once, then just keep them in good shape. They'll last forever. You can buy original Nissan Rebuild kits off of e-bay. Maybe Nissan still carrie the pats.

balace screw then you use the choke to get it to idle right. DO not use the choke for a power boost while driving.
  4. The us never saw any cars with the VQ series engine. I might be wrong but I sure I know I've never seen an American spec VQ30det

Have you tuned them? If they were kept in a plastic bad away from the elements everything should be OK. should still be new (or good working cond). You have to tune each crab separate. Get a MSA catalogue and buy a sync tool. -Brandon 70 71 240Z 95 4X4 HB(DD)
  6. I fell ya. I choose to keep my Zeds at home locked up in the shop. I could never drive an early zed every day. I would be to paranoid of some idiot ramming me killing my Z. For now I have a 95 Nissan 4x4 X-cab with a 3" lift. Dreaming about the day I can buy a 350Z. Much much more to save. -Brandon 70 71 240Z

I can tell you enough to fill your head full of Znut stuff as long with most members on this site. I would start with www.zhome.com. For a newbie thetas the best place to start. Then use the search option here. There's a lot of great knowledgeable kind people here. Then go to Zcar.com and read about turbo Z's. This is the better active Zcar site on the web. Scribe to 240Z.org list (our club list) while your at Zhome scribe to what's know as the Zcar list and sit back watch and learn. Nothing more I cant think of. Start at www.zhome.com and work your way around. Since you've found us just search the site. -Brandon 70 71(3) 95 HB X-cab 4x4(daily Driver)

On an early Zed No vents. unless your running major power you should have the need for vents. I don't even think they help an Early Zed much -Brandon 70Z 71Z
  9. Can someone post a Mesh type grill? I've never seen a jap-spec grill up close before. Is it like honey comb? -Brandon

Good Idea. Isn't there a Forum on the board that keeps track of E-bay auctions? Or is it just for discussing items being sold on E-bay. 6 months there was a Blue Z that sold on E-bay for over 20K didnt save that tho -Brandon 71 240Z

MSA sells all you'll ever need. If you ever plan on autoX you should go with 2ManyZs advice. I've though about putting one of the 4-point types in my Zed but I want to keep the vintage look. I would love to buy a domestic factory option roll cage. Does any one know where you can buy the Factory roll cage at. Even a replica? -Brandon 71 240Z

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2423046780&category=6187 $19,900!?! My lord we are going to need our pack rats in the feature. If you have the funds you can find what you want. If you looking for a bargain ask the board. I have to admit I have several parts in worse than better condition I'll never use. Someday I'll sell them to one who can work with them. -Brandon 71 240Z
  18. I personally like that body kit. Never had it on any of my cars. Never seen a full kit in real life. The pictures look DAMN GOOD. I Have a stock option front air dam. Looks real nice. Keeps the vintage look too. -Brandon 71 240Z

Gravity bleeding is the best way to go. Open up the valve put a container (old coffee can)under the MS. About every 30min check and add more fluid. Look at it this way After you've done drinking a Beer go and check. Requires only you and time. If still limp pedal then master vac-hose problem -Brandon

I wouldn't mind seeing a VQ-35 in an early Z. If you've got that kind of money/fab skills you might as well go with a RB or SR series engine. BTW- How much does a Brand new VQ-35 coast? RB is around $3500 SR around $2,000
  25. If there painted could you see at night? Man Thats a nice 280ZX.
