3 240Z cars are now mine
I can not believe my luck. For the last couple years I have been looking for an early 240Z to go along with my KGC10. Now I have found it. Also comes with 2 others. Last night I dragged home the first one. A build date of 1/71. Has the rear vented hatch, no vents in the rear pillar, runs and no rust. I got burned on a purchase while I was in Al. Had to junk the car so I have learned the hard way when it comes to rust problems. Simply amazing. Car came from NM originally. Last few years it has been in Las Vegas. So not much rain has even had a chance at it. Get this....No undercoating is sprayed on the car....Second car that I will be getting this morning is a build date of 10/71 so it is titled as a 72. Again it runs, no rust and the paint on it looks pretty decent. I will spend so time on it polishing out the paint and sell it to recoupe some of my costs. The 3rd car is going to be a headache as it will require the most work. A 12/70 shell. Again no rust but I need to finish welding a patch panel under the battery tray. Hard part has already been done. This one I am thinking of keeping for quite some time. Simply because it will take some time to get it together and of course I will want to enjoy the fruits of my labor. If you are near Vegas and looking for a Z car that has no rust, runs and even has triples installed already...I know the guy who needs to sell so he can move back to Japan. Super nice and easy to work with....

12jj watanabes need rubber
I am currently running 265/50/14 BFG T/A radials with the rims as that is what came on them when I bought them. However the rubber is too small. Yes the classic Japanese rubber too small for the rim look is kinda cool I am looking for something that fits better. Does anybody know where I can find the proper size tire. Looking for something like 295 possibly. Hard to find here stateside I know. If some of our AUS members have options down their way I am not opposed to shipping prices or trades(L28et stuff)...

70-72 Z car market in Asia
The series 1 Z cars are very expensive in Japan. Rocky auto may have a couple from time to time. One of my plans is to take a 70 or 71 240z back with me. Love the cars but not the price tag they demand there.

Vintage Races in Las Vegas
Looked around on the site and didn't see the event listed anywhere. Please let me know more particulars. What time, spectator costs what ever. Not going to run my car but would love to see how the L6 and L4 do against the German engineering...Hope that some of the site's track guys do run so I can meet other members. Las Vegas isn't that far from me so this is an event I can make pretty easily....

Arizona/California 1970 240Z
Bruce, I have been watching the same car on ebay. My only desire is the body. Perfect for what I want to do. If it is a rust free as stated then count me in. Pm me for particular's if you choose. I am a few hours drive away from you so I could simply pick it up instead of doing the shipping thing...

Valve diammeter for L28 Performance head.
Looked at your blog...Very cool...Particularly like the little tutorials about the parts. Will definitely help dispell some of the rumors. Especially the rods. So you have a Block Nissan letter valve cover....Interesting as this is whant I need....You are looking for exactly which of the small letters versions....Do I see a trade happening?

Valve diammeter for L28 Performance head.
Gav, Shoot me your address and I will e-mail you pics showing the valves installed. Huge. Had to reshape the combustion chamber a bit to allow the valve to pass thru. Very impressive looking. If not an overbore piston I do not think it would work.

Valve diammeter for L28 Performance head.
Gavin, I keep finding your old posts when I am looking for something else. I recently purchased a N42 head w/ the oversized intake / exhaust valves. Combined with my big ITB's equals cam needs to be for high revs to justify the mod..Currently looking for a cam to suit myself..Your carbs will be up to the task since you got the 44's...Did you find your rods yet?

Rare JDM Fairlady parts NOS
I tried to find the thread concerning the 240z on Ebay a few weeks ago. The one that had the amazing list of parts but the photos were lacking. Anyway I tracked the guy down in L.A. He agreed to sale me the N42 race prep head so I jumped. The parts this guy has new in boxes and just laying around in bins labeled is simply amazing. Everything I mean everything you could think of brand new. Coil over sets, rubber seals, rear disc brake conversions, Twin TD06 turbine set with rebuilt turbines, emblems, anything with a fairlady badge, G nose kit with hinges, Brand new Watanabes with Brand new Nito's, R200 brand new never installed, energy suspension kit, Triple carbs kits, TWM ITB's with a custom made surge tank, the list goes on and on. If I had not dedicated my funds to my Hakosuka project this is what I would be buying. His RHD 240 was amazing as well. Even had an extra correct vented hatch. The seller grew up in Okinawa and Japan. Very nice and knowledgeable. He has agreed to sell parts seperately and I can tell you you will not be dissappointed. I drove 4 hrs today and regrett that I didn't do it sooner...His e-mail is heffernancurtis@yahoo.com Tell him Eric sent you...

Freeze plug ?
I use a liberal amount of permtex #1. It hardens up after drying and simply wipe the excess towards the freeze plug so it doesn't get into your paint.. Regular RTV won't do as well as it stays soft..

Get it before it goes on Ebay
Could we get a parts list? Any more watanabes? Need something bigger than the 14" 7j's I now have up front...

L20a Rods
The Kameari pistons I picked up second hand from Pitroad Engine. The second set the wife found for me while she was visiting family in Japan. There is a local carshop that was really big into Z's and Hakosuka's years ago. I still get some parts from them as they come across them from time to time. Kameari still makes new pistons, rods and stroker kits. They probably have the most kick arse timing set out on the market right now as well. They are big money though. Anyway I got the second set of rods because of the difficulty in finding the first set. Now I want to use the L20a rods due to the piston that I am using. So if you need L14 rods I got them. If you need L14 rods w/ pistons for a stroker well I got them as well. Later eric

L20a Rods
You are in luck. I searched the internet long and hard for several months looking for these. I was able to get a second set of the L14 rods. I also have a set of 89mm Kameari pistons designed for use with the rods and LD crank for the stroker setup if you are interested. I was going to use these until I found a forged set that used the L20A rods. Let me know. Later eric

oversized piston pins
I am in need of some oversized piston pins. I have a set of oversized pistons but the pins look to have been beat out with a hammer. I can have the pin holes honed out but then the piston pin is too small. Has anyone out there run into a similiar problem? Any help? Thanks

Wantanabe Price?
The "Skyline" did not become the staple that it is until Nissan bought out Prince. Once Nissan had the Skyline a few changes were made and the legend begins. Thanks to those that have appreciated my car. It will be in Panama City Florida the weekend of March 14th for the Nopi Car show. There will be another actual GTR there as well.
