  9. The following Word file will probably help you out quite a bit. I believe this was made for an early 240Z or 260Z, but it should be almost exactly the same for a later model...(I.E. - 75 280Z) Just make sure you mark each and every electrical connection somehow so you'll know EXACTLY where everything hooks back up...take notes...pictures...what-ever it takes to jog your memory when it comes time to put it back together... webdawg1 Removing Dash and Interior for Paint.doc
  10. Sounds like you have provoked the RUST monster... Would check out the condition of your fuel tank first...Z fuel tanks are real bad about rusting inside. Let us know what all you find in there...pictures...etc...etc. webdawg1

  12. Sblake01, I've looked around in my settings...did not see anything that would turn on/off the url funtion. (I.E. - Have always done a copy paste from IE to posts in the past and it has never came up as a clickable link) Over at http://www.zcar.com when I do a copy/paste for a url it does show up as a clickable link...go figure... webdawg1
  13. The following url should help you out some... http://www.zzxdatsun.com/280z_stuff.html webdawg1
  14. Have you had your fuel tank redone??? (I.E. - Sent it out to be refurbished, local or otherwise...RUST monster could be rearing its ugly head in the fuel tank... Do a search on Moyer Fuel Tank Renu... webdawg1
  15. webdawg1 replied to Jagestah's topic in Body & Paint
See them on eBay all the time...Some are in better condition than others...Price can vary quite a bit as well... webdawg1
  16. The picture attached should help out a little bit more with the connections for the F.I.C.D valves (Reference 3) Also line "C" turns into line "S" after it passes thru the grommet in the firewall. webdawg1
  17. This picture should help you out some...if you look on the bracket that holds the two F.I.C.D valves (passenger side fender well) it's marked as to which line is which...(I.E. - S1, S2, C, D) Have marked up a couple of pictures showing the connections...I also have a 1975 280Z, so this should be right on the money...as far as connections go...Still looking for a better picture that shows the opposite side connections for reference 2. webdawg1 f.i.c.d hose connections (reference 1).bmp f.i.c.d hose connections (reference 2).bmp
  18. I also checked on the first relay part number as well and it is still a good part number. I checked at the following url and it's showing "In Stock", so you could give them a shout or check at your local Nissan dealership... http://www.nissanparts.cc/cart/?pn=B5230-W0500 webdawg1
  19. That part number (25230-89915) is superseded by B5230-89985. You might give it a try at your local Nissan dealership with part number in hand...You would be amazed at what you can still get from the dealership... webdawg1
  20. I would think the "Minilites" would be more "Period Correct" as far as rims go...don't you think... webdawg1
  21. Should not be that much to ship...When I had my tank done by Moyer Fuel Tank Renu I had it shipped by Fedex ground and it was somewhere around $22.00 one way. I had my older brother build me a shipping case and then I double bagged the gas tank with large garbage bags and wrapped it really good with shipping tape. When it came back from Moyer's in the same shipping crate it was well protected to say the least... webdawg1
  22. Saw this product the other day while tooling around on the net...Pretty much along the same lines as the chemical you mentioned, but this product is more of a short term/long term metal protection to keep "flash rust" at bay...while you work on other areas of the car and are not quite ready to paint just yet... http://zero-rust.com/zero-rust-prep-step.html webdawg1
  23. See following url: http://www.tabcobodyparts.com/ about $40.00 each for left/right side... webdawg1
  24. Run up on a couple of pictures the other day of the front panel and bottom of the A/C & heater controls for a factory installed system. Noticed something a little bit strange in that the various connections did not match what's in the FSM for a 75 280Z. I dug out a spare vacuum control valve (P/N: 27031-N3110)...(which is the later valve according to the fiche)...and it matched up exactly with the picture in regards to the connections as far as layout goes. According to the 75 FSM the connections are laid out in a slightly different way?? Wondering if anyone can confirm this by a visual of the vacuum control valve you might have on hand...(assuming you have it out of your car of course) () should be the same from late 74 thru 78...prior to that it was a slightly different number according to the fiche (59-1) P/N: 27031-N3100 (up to 11/74) Pictures uploaded are with the changes made to show how it's actually laid out on the vacuum control valve. Just one of those... "hmm...that's very interresting...but why is it different type questions" webdawg1
  25. FSM (Factory Service Manual) is about as good as it gets... You DO have the FSM on hand as a reference or no? Will be listed under the Air Conditioning/Heater section... If you don't have the FSM on hand you can get it from the following url: http://carfiche.com/ webdawg1
