  1. Carl, I once beat G.W. in a spelling test. The winning word was "Texens" (people from Texas). Just wanted to prove your point that I'm not right in the head.
  2. But Carl, the Ferrari wasn't driving itself. Obviously the Ferrari driver is better at collecting silicone breasts than down shifting. Same road, same traffic. All the Ferrari driver had to do was use 15 seconds of the cars ultimate performance and janez31 would have no story (except a 575 left me for dead!) Fifteen seconds of TALENT!
  3. A good Z driven at 10 tenths will hang with a Ferrari/Cobra/Vette/whatever being p**** footed at 5 tenths. Just because the Ferrari (without a doubt) CAN leave a Z in it's dust doesn't mean the driver of acknowledged supercar has the HUEVOS (eggs) to use what is available! They don't call Ferrari's penis extenders for nothing (if you don't got it at least pretend). Because you made alot of money in stocks/basketball/real estate/internet doesn't mean you can drive!
  4. Maybe you just out drove him. There is no driving test a person has to pass to buy a Ferrari, just a credit check.

  6. Oh I forgot. Before I had to drive my car onto 3" of plywood (6 pieces 1/2" thick gradually ramping over 4 feet length) to get a floor jack under front cross member!!!! I once got high centered in a gas station on top of one of those under ground tank fill bumps! Had to ask two guys to lift up on roll cage door bar (with door open) while I inched my way off of Mount Everest!
  7. Thanks guys!! Guess all I had to do was beg . I think I'm going to try putting a 1/2" spacer under my shocks and set the ride height at 4" to front cross member (after what it was before, 5" seems like 4x4 territory). I'll take two of my four bump stops and trim them by 1/2". Then after sectioning my struts I can swap spacers from the bottom to the top of shock and switch bump stops between full length and shortened length. Hopefully this will allow me to change ride height by 1" and still not lose all the stroke of the shock (on bump, or rebound) if I plan it out carefully. Thanks for the help, if I learn anything about this issue I'll let you guys know.
  8. Please, anybody with a lowered Z who can share their experience regarding ground clearance would be greatly appreciated.

  10. g72s20, Datsun competition had a few direct drive boxes available to racers. Three of the boxes were for track use and one was for ralley use. They also had (2?) close ratio 5 speeds with over drive 5th gears. I have one of the track racing 5 speeds and I wouldn't sell it as long as I have my car. They cost $2K back in 1980 and are impossible to find now. I have never heard of anyone with the ralley version and would guess you could ask any amount ($4K?) for it!!!!!!!
