  1. That's awesome Stephen, I've been closely watching this thread, I look forward to seeing some pictures when they're ready.
  2. I missed out on the wheels Lachlan (I only mention Lachlan because Ben already knows ) They were a pair of 14x7 and a pair of 14x8 Hayashi Street rims with slightly negative offset, unfortunately they sold for slightly more than I currently have available, but as I said to Ben, I'll just wait til I can afford some Type-B Watanabes and go with the best instead of something to fill the gap.
  3. Excellent! The good things are finally going your way man.
  4. Ok, the front of base of the stalk of my mirrors are 350mm from the start of the fender (note: start of the fender does NOT include the chrome section) The rear is 20mm from the centre of the panel/bay bolt that is closest to the mirrors (as seen in picture) Mirrors are then placed central between where the panel starts to curve off and where the engine bay starts. If that makes any sense To confuse matters more... I know the Fairlady Z car have slightly different positioning from left to right with the left side is closer to the windscreen that the right... I didn't bother doing it as I'm unsure whether the Skyline does.
  5. OK, for starters here's the deciding picture that pretty much told me where to put them. I'll go out and measure mine now and get back to you soon.
  6. Well, I can't help you with the precise factory positioning measurements, however I examined numerous pictures before I took a drill to my car to put my Laurel mirrors on and I could give you the measurements of where they're sitting if you're interested? I'll mention again though, mine are NOT the position as indicated by Nissan in any kind of document. They're simply where I gauged them to be after viewing lots of pictures.
  7. ls1240z: I think your best bet would be to put that car back together or even leave the interior out but sell it with the car, to let people view just how clean and rust free it is, and sell it as it stands.. make a very nice profit considering the purchase price and in turn use that money to buy a somewhat less clean Z for your V8 project. I almost guarantee you that if you start changing it over, the very moment you start someone will say "Oh, I would have given you 'X' amount of dollars for that Z as it was." It would simply be a shame to at least not explore the option of selling it as it is, if you get no bites and no-one is keen then go for it, all you've lost is a small amount of time in the grand scheme of things. Good luck.
  8. Heh, well THIS kiwi was listed as a bloody "Septic Tank" !!!! As Lachlan just pointed out. *mental note, actually reply when you hit the reply button and don't change windows til you've done so.* :stupid:

From my understanding, talking with Chris in regards to this subject, the differences between GL & GT are not simply aesthetic such as the change of the shield badge. The GT has a different intake manifold with slightly longer runners and devoid of any semblance of emission control nonsense, which would make sense. What's the easiest way to convince a controlling body that it's NOT a GT anymore? Slap a bunch of emissions nonsense on it and change the badge. I'm sure there's more to it as well, I only wish we (we being Oceania) got all the varying JDM models, I'd love a wagon
  10. Over here in NZ, 410/411's aren't hugely rare, but I've personally NEVER seen a wagon, I'd love one, I say make the extra effort to grab it
  11. Just got some of these the other day, they're excellent quality. Thought you peeps may be interested so I took some pics. :classic:

    Some more 2 doors.

    Heh, pictures you say, how many do you want? My collection of C10 images is actually realtively low, for some strange reason I've got predominantly C110 pictures Here's some 2 doors;
  14. I think they need really need to go on YOUR S30 GO BEN! I hope you can get them man, I know you'll appreciate and covet them.
  15. Nah, they're not Longchamps XR4's. I'll let you know soon enough, if you haven't heard anything by Tuesday next week then remind me. Oh.. and James is going to help me out with getting that guy to make some flares once I've got some cash set aside for them, so that's all good. Having a job really helps with the money side of things  Got some shocks and springs for the front waiting at the local Nissan dealer too, $415.98NZD. :surprised
  16. Although not directly Watanabe related, I thought I'd mention that I've got my eye on some nice (well they will be once I'm finished) other old style JDM wheels for the C110, the only problem is I might need to have flares fitted first before I can put them on, but they're a nice wheel until I can get my hands on some dished Watanabe's. Not that there's anything wrong with my current Watanabe's... I just miss having dished rims. I'll fill in the details about the wheels I'm looking at once/if I get them. On another note.. those mentioned Watanabe's would be fantastic, pity they're in America

My brother's has both fender and bumper indicators. It's from OZ.
  18. That is good to hear, great stuff! You lucky sod Must be a big relief to not have to spend a lot of money on the engine.
  19. OOOOoooh, actually, I think I read somewhere that it's the park light switch on some models of C110 which obviously dont have park lights as a twistable option on the column lever. Or I'm talking out my arse, both are potentially viable options.
  20. The JDM C110 at the local wreckers also has a dial/switch in that position, I'll go check it out at the wreckers in the weekend see if I can't figure out what it is exactly. I also want to steal the twist lockable choke lever from that car so it just gives me another reason to get off my arse.
  21. You're half sheep? FURTHER PROOF!
  22. Firstly, it's a good joke, I've heard it before but not with NZ as the country, as such... I think you'll find a few discrepancies with this joke AND that picture. The joke: "Fair dinkum, mate" people just don't say that in NZ. "Fair Dinkum" is an Australian exclamation. The picture: Nowhere in NZ has deep red soil and plants like that, but I can tell you one place that does.. you guessed it.. Australia! Further proof can be found if you see any other Australian shows or documentaries and notice the type of sheep on the Australian's motorcycle. NZ is known for being Cold, Clean and Green, Australia is known for being Hot, Dusty and Red. Still though, like many jokes people replace country origins all the time dependant on location or situation, so either way it's still a funny joke.
  23. Done and done, you even got a free cheeky message
  24. I believe that's the Nissan Leopard, but I'm not 100%. Nice car and they come in a variety of options with some pretty plush things going on if it is the Leopard.
  25. 240K's, 240C's (I think) and Laurels. Check out my gallery there should be a pic in there somewhere of my engine bay so you'll see one similar with the carb etc. on it.
