  1. Woo! an English competition! I'll add my 2¢. Whether Qantas is QANTAS as an Acronym, or Qantas as a name, as far as I understood it, both Acronyms and Names aren't officially words. Modern dictionaries even "proper" ones are filled with all kinds of crap, not just words. The latest Collins and I think Oxfords even have common or cultural phrases, tons of acronyms and even names, just because they're in there, doesn't make them a "word" in the sense that I remember from school days at least.
  2. Get it done in removable-vinyl, try it out for a while, if you don't like it, rip it off. Saves a re-paint if you end up hating it.
  3. The paint looks good in pictures, it's not so good in reality. The car looks straight in pictures, it's got a fair bit of surface crap rust that need to be cleaned up. Yes, that 'Skyline' signwriting is a ugly pile of dog excrement. The PO put it on cause he got sick of people asking if it was a Mazda. It'll go when she gets resprayed in gloss black. Which isnt for a while. And yeah I know it's missing those panels... they, as with the same things on the HQ Premiers are heathens for trapping water and rust starting so they wont be back.
  4. OK, fine... I'll let you in on my secret. The guy thought they were Mini-lites. :devious: I looked at the image he had on his auction, my eyes lit up, I saw where the emblem should be and there was a slight fuzziness in the photo. So I asked him whether they had a logo on them with 3 birds in a circle. He replied with yes, I never noticed that before, you're right what looks like three birds with a line underneath them inside a circle. You know the rest of the story, he still knows no better and that is my deception, I feel a little bad about it but more than that, it makes me think how many other auctions I've missed that were Watanabes and labeled "mini-lites" or "super-lites" So lately I've been double checking all auctions. Who knows I may even come across another set and if they're better or worse then the set I have now, I'll sell them to someone on here SO WE ALL BENEFIT! well..... two people. I've attached a pic of them hanging off the studs while the rear's still on the jack, they'll have a decent set of tyres on them and be properly on the car tomorrow all going well.

  6. 440kms, 5hours and $180NZD's on and I have my set of Watanabe's They're not the "ideal" offset, they are more suited to a modern car however, with the use of some 2-3mm spacers for the front they should fit well enough. I've attached a pic, unfortunately my other brother has the digital camera so these pics are using my cellphone.
  7. That's what they want you to think... it's really something else; Q: Queer A: Australians N: Number T: Thousands A: Around S: Sydney ROFL
  8. OOH OOH! I know! chances are I'm not far enough away from Australia to count as being outside of OZ
  9. The statement "everything is bigger in Texas" is a bit or a worry, if that means yours is a smaller version of this one? Does that make him a big prick and you a little prick? ROFL LOL

  11. 350ZG Images.
  12. I'd be keen but the problem with me is that, I wouldn't know when I could afford it and even when I could I'd be paying a pretty penny more to get the things over to NZ.
  13. I believe (if I recall correctly) that we got one of Alan in an R32 Calsonic JGTC GT-R
  14. I second that notion, I'd be keen to see pictures of your C10, is she 2 or 4 door? I'm also the owner of a C110 and appreciate all things Skyline. (As you can tell from my Avatar)
  15. Oh, it's not so much I'm blinded by loyalty, I can appreciate a good vehicle of any make, obviously everyone has different aesthetic tastes and I think the RX7 is a pile of poopie dung Just my tastes. The 2, 3 and 4 are fine and dandy. So it's not directly a Rotary or Mazda thing, the 3 Rotor DeLorean is a cool car. I think the fact that most people make their Rotor "Pulse" is what puts me off, I think it sounds ridiculous. And around the 80's I would have taken the Toyota Celica/Supra XX 2.8GT over the RX, Anything European and probably a few American cars as well. Early 80's would have been S11 as opposed to S12 (I think) but I still would have taken either. The reason I mention Nissan first is because it's usually the easiest for me to remember. :stupid:
  16. Oh, sorry America
  17. BLASPHEMOUS! An RX-7?!?! A freakin' Rotary?! Of course, as far as I'm aware, the 'X' in RX-7 stands for e'X'perimental, which would relate to the conversation. However, there was plenty of other sports cars you could have chosen from to compare against the ZX, for instance the early 80's had the FJ20DET (RS-X) Skylines and Silvias. And even so, I'd rather have a bloated 280ZX than an RX-7.
  18. As promised, pictures of Terry's cars can now be viewed by visiting my gallery. Thanks for the prompt approval Victor
  19. A Vibrant Blue Spec of Paint V ?? Have you already sold Vibrant Blue Spec's I thru IV ?? LOL Seriously though, I also have no idea on what you're talking about.. I would assume it's a 350Z being a Z forum but you never can tell unless told. :classic: OH! Unless of course Spec V is how you Americans have "V Spec" like on the Skyline GT-R's which stands for Victory Specifications.
  20. I was also of the belief the 'X' stood for Lu'X'ury. There are a number of other Nissan's that also have an X designation, and believe me, there's nothing Experimental about the Bluebird 2.0ZX, it's just an ugly square pile of FWD shite.
