  1. Mike of the Mire, Thanks for the direction. Alan, I did a search before I posted, and all I found was the thread I started from last year on the same switch. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12021&highlight=jdm+switch Thanks for the thread from 2002 you referenced-it had a great deal of info I wish I had found in 2004 on my first forray ointo finding one of these switches. I am still looking for one(or two). I took the photos from the archive that Texas Z has that has come back to light over the past couple of days. (One of the things I hope to do with the photos in the archive is link them to either the FSM or the fiche-in that form, pictures would be helpful, and much more easily searchable-but there must be at least two versions of the fiche, as the USA variety does not contain the parts that were not available here- would also like to create one document with all of the parts Nissan produced with part numbers for the cars) I figured that you(Alan) or Kats would be the best chance for getting one, so I pmed Kats right after posting, but had trouble when typing up the PM to you-wife gave the last call for "Get off the damn computer, and come to bed" Needless to say, I did... I was going to Pm you this morning-but your response to the thread beat me to it. I appreciate the part number, I have emailed all of the overseas sources I found when looking for the mirror, and am waiting for replies... Any and all help is, and will be, greatly appreciated. Will PS. Has anyone got a VIN for a car that came with theses switches?
  2. Just do a turbo swap form a 280ZX-buy a complete running car (Rust buckets please apply in full force) and move everything over-it is the least expensive way-if you are shopping correctly. Will My MadZ-gotta love those door panels...thanks for the pictures of how.
  3. You are off to a great start!-except for the girls :stupid: -but then-who can tell anymore with all of the genderbending going on ... Good camerawork and use of the sopundtrack though!!! Editing takes three times the shooting-even though you usually endup wity only one half the tape! Untill you know what to shoot-everything-you never know what will happen at a "spontaneous" event! Will
  4. Even the right part number would be helpful. Even a copy of the European/JDM version of Fast. Will
  5. TomoHawk-aint no A in the s30 vin-check your FSM! 6. Texas I have seen-I was born there-Australia could be the size of a top from vegamite for all I know  ! A couple of slabs, and everything seems bigger !!! Will
  7. See the pics in the previous post! Thanks, Will
  8. Very Nice!!! Clear coat it!!! Will
  9. I just used your archive TexasZ, thanks!!! Will
  10. According to one informal source at Nissan USA, the true Passenger side(for the USA) mirror does not exist. My formal letter has not brought a formal response yet-so we will wait a bit longer. In the meantime, I need a bit more help from you overseas members. I am looking for at least one of these switches from an early S30-I would really like two-cosmetic condition is more important than working condition. The picture is of the whole panel(top and bottom)-I just want the switches-but if you have a complete panel to spare... Thanks Will
  11. That's it, look in Texas! Takes a BIG place to store that BIG list! Thanks TEXASZ for making a parking space for it! Will
  12. hls30.com replied to zman525's topic in Help Me !!
Not a RED flag, a yellow one! The purchase was refunded under highly questionable circumstances. All I lost was a part he evidently sold to someone else for more money. Will
  13. Ask Carl(Bambikiller240) if you don't find it using the search. He tagged it at one point, though I believe it was compiled by another member here. Will
  14. I ran over there this morning before the wife got up-they line up like they were made for the car-even the extensions-go figure! Will
  15. Don't say that, several members drive both a Z and a PT Cruiser-their hands, feet, and buttocks touch both regularly with no ill effects! What about a clear sticker with some touchup paint to hide the holes? Will
  16. More important than what, could be where  ! WIll
  17. Thanks for the typing-that's what I'm talking about! Will
  18. Much better-but cloth inserts sure make the seats more comfortable in the heat!!! Will
  19. You should fit a brace or two between the bottom of the opening of the spoiler and the lower radiator support, and Ideally use some flashiing to seal the opening to the radiator support as well. This will make great difference in cooling, and a more noticeable difference in handling, at speed. Just hanging the airdam in there whill help the handling only slightly, and is more for appearance than performance as the moved air flows right back behind the airdam. I mounted the airdam on my '73, then came back and used nutrivets and cardboard to make patterns for the flashing to turn the area between the airdam and the core support into a plenium. Make sure you plan in a lowest spot in the middle of the lowest piece of flashing to drill a 3/8" hole (Where it won't drip on steel) in or else you willl have water pooling at the base of the radiator support(depending on your airdam). Paint the flashing black to make it less noticeable, or leave it silver to show off your work! Will
  20. Mine had NO damage-not a ding, a scrape, or even tape residue-they came in needing only light sanding, primer and paint-$203 each! I have diaper duty all weekend-I'll check the fit Monday afternoon. Will
  21. Those wheels on a RB30-ZED Now you are talking!!! I guess I will be doing the math.... WIll
  22. No pain to the car-light em up somewhere safe for both of you! Will
  23. I am with you, while there is excitement in finding parts, detailing, and seeing a car at home in your driveway (or garage), there is no greater excitement than hitting the twisties, right after a tuneup, with some sticky tires, some high octane, and your favorite music(the rythm of a straight six of course!)!! Will
  24. Pretty car. Neat Video! I kept waiting for you, to light up the rubberbands on those wheels and fill the place where the Z used to be with smoke!!! Whe you did the quick turn to the camera, I just knew some of that paint on the floor was getting ready to visit the wall. Will The first thing you did was take it home, then you took it out of the box, put a tape in it, and a battery on it and went to the Garage! I figured since there was no prize for knowing the first thing, maybe the next four just might rate!
  25. oops double post-sorry!!!
